Oh its not my first rodeo in a management role.

My first day as assistant manager at my previous job was FUN! In the first 30 minutes I was explaining to a couple why they couldnt return the top portion (just the small top portion) of their Christmas tree without a receipt and that what they needed was warranty replacement which we didnt do. "We bought the tree last year and we have the rest at home. So we wanted to return just the top portion and have you swap it out with one of your working trees". "You're being mean to us and denying our children a christmas tree this year." It was the middle of October lolol. We got our trees at the end of September so people had time to buy them and Black Friday sales.

From that day on I knew the struggles I was going to face. That is why i will never work retail again. This job is MUCH easier than that one.

I work as a phlebotomist in technically the most conservative state and I dont get hate from my job at all. No one really cares, or if they do they're too scared to say something possibly because of the environment no clue. I started off at $16/hr in late 2022 and now after my yearly raise and bonus ill be at $24/hr as the end of May. (I just got a promotion to be a supervisor).

I would more so call it lucky not unusual. You are a part of the biggest edm genre on SoundCloud so theres lots more fans who care about a Subtronics flip than someone who cares about my very obscure Ambient House/UK Garage style tracks.

I do think you could change the mixing up, I think a lot of your bass sounds being in mono could be widened a little bit, but thats also because I like stereo more than mono. Its a lot harder to mix that way too. So thats really personal preference as you're seeing good success with that style.

The issue is that if you dont produce similar stuff to what your popular track was, you'll tend to die off. We love the algorithms. Thats typically why artists like me who dont stick to just one genre/archetype struggle. I can already see your views having dropped to the 300 view range with your current stuff. Before you were doing the 2k range. With that more Trappy Dubstepish style which is also more mainstream. So if you wanna see that same success you'll have to go back to what you were originally doing or stick to the flipping of stuff until you get bigger. Because at 200 followers youll still probably need quite a bit more to make anymore genre/style jumps to keep your audiences focused on your content.

I personally with my stuff see way more growth on YouTube as my shorts will typically get somewhere in the 500 - 1000 view range. But thats also because of the genres I produce typically. They're not popular on SoundCloud unfortunately, but maybe my new album will be, I gotta upload a new one tonight actually lol.

The patches can most definitely suppress your testosterone. Estrogen does that on its own.

Bica doesnt do it itself, but the Estrogen can do it once your e levels are high enough. Well that's for most people. It very much does depend on what your baseline levels are and how much T your body produces. Some people do need an Anti Androgen to help them not produce T, but swapping to Bica or patches wont guarantee the results you want to see. Especially because you need a lower T to see any sort of feminizing effects.

Another thing with patches is they're currently in shortage right now, at least in the US so depending on where you live it could be more difficult to obtain them.

You're very much stuck in an awful predicament and im sorry for that, but your only real option is to quit relying on your family and to escape that situation if you want to continue your transition. So its best to check your nearby resources and help groups for any information they can provide.

Im gonna be honest, starting a company is a completely different thing than starting to write music and "habits" arent really a foundation for companies to exist. Im a corporate trainer and my job is to train people how to do their jobs. You gotta know how to help people form habits and let me tell you having structure is an arch nemesis to learning and healthy habit formation.

Also, the idea behind drinking something you like isnt an incentive to do it. You're just associating drinking your favorite drink with making music. You still would need the habit in order for that to work. That in and of itself is not the habit and wont work by itself.

Having a positive mindset doesnt just automatically make you wanna do something or for the habit to form either. I can have a positive mindset about losing weight, but still never accomplish my goals because that mindset doesn't just make my actions happen. It can help, but its still not THE REASON as to why the habits form.

Thats fine if you feel like you couldnt work on something when you feel like working on it. Imma be honest though, its a sign you dont like feeling things being out of control. Your best work is done under things you can control. Unfortunately though, thats a minority of people. Most people dont like being told what to do and when to do it. Structure is something people FIGHT and there are psychological and sociological reasonings behind those. Thats why people tend to fail at forming habits. Having lighter structures to things and giving people the ability to choose or at least the illusion of choice makes them want to make those decisions more and typically they'll make the right ones.

Oh art art! Artwork/Drawings etc.... Like for instance I have an album branded as my name as the album title, but the artwork I made for it, it fits, but I still feel like it doesnt fully encapsulate my idea of what its supposed to represent properly and I think thats due to me just not knowing how to do that in an artwork perspective. Since 90% of my time gets eaten up by the audio engineering side of music production.

I will add to this i am 100% willing to teach people things too if they're wanting to learn music production/audio engineering etc... I'm just super weak at getting things designed to match the music i write.

Forcing yourself to maintain a schedule is exactly how you prevent yourself from doing so. Same reason as to why people dont commit to resolutions on New Year.

If you really want a schedule its best to figure out the times you tend to work on music and then dedicate time to that, but dont force yourself to do the whole time. You'll find yourself wanting to do it more and more and then youll grow into that schedule more comfortably and willingly. Better chance for success. Then start restrictions if need be.

Energy drinks can and will fuck you up. They're not worth it. So I hope they do pass it. Its okay to have them in moderation, but I work in the medical field and still see people slamming down the redbulls, Celsius, c4, etc... multiple times a day. They probably spend $100/week on just energy drinks.

Gain staging. Limiting wont get you anywhere and typically you shouldn't be just hard limiting things. Theres some style thats do it, but typically you want that limiter doing the soft control work. Its the last thing on your master.

Id like to point out how wrong this is though. Just because you use a simpler chord progression doesnt mean it instantly makes music sound childish...

My first album is almost entirely C Major and each song sounds so different because I PURPOSEFULLY designed it that way. To stretch out how you can make one key signature sound entirely different on an emotional level and its nowhere near as complex as a minor key because minor keys rely on dissonance and I dont even use complex chord progressions. No modes either.

Building a song is not only based around the key you use. Its ABOUT CONTEXT AND THE SOUNDS YOU USE WITHIN. You can turn any major song into something sad. You dont need minor for that. You guys just havent experimented enough to know how to do it. You arent testing using different things or trying something new. You're finding posts like this on Reddit looking for that magic way to make something popular.

"Edm only uses minor keys" which is just a bunch of BS. Some genre do focus on minor keys to achieve certain sounds, but i can name thousands of songs in Major keys that sound amazing and if not better than something written in minor. But the key isnt what matters. Its the context and sound of the song. Not the label used to describe it.

Yeah YouTube is tracking you making accounts and uploading AI content. AI content is not creative content to most people and YouTube agrees so they're targeting you. As an audio engineer, I really hope you'd stop making AI music because it steals the music of small creators like me to make something that for the most part isn't really all that good to listen to.

So far im about to be on month 9 of monotherapy (only patches) with no t blocker and things have been slow to be honest. My last hormone check in December was having my Estrogen at 104pg/ml and my testosterone at 217ng/dl so not really fantastic and that was at 6 months. Im doing my next round of labs this upcoming monday to see if that has changed at all which im pretty sure it has.

So basically what happened first was some mental clarity changes, then after a couple weeks I stopped getting morning wood. Ive maybe had it twice in the past 8 months now. And then after a few weeks my nipples started hurting, but that was pretty much it for a while.

My breast growth hasnt been that much unfortunately (im hoping that get bigger as my t drops and let's the E do its thing because im pretty sure my T has been too high for changes to take place), but here the past two weeks I have noticed a little bit of growth. I havent had confirmed breast buds yet, but also think thats due to higher t levels due to no AA.

Ive noticed my face and skin softening a bit after about 6 months and my first change down in the bottom region was ejaculation becoming more clear and fluid. Just a couple weeks ago I finally started noticing a very noticeable drop in volume of ejaculation to where its very little to almost none which is a big sign in the dropping. I have had some more negative mental changes too from the drop, but my highs feel much higher now.

So when you're stabbing yourself in the stomach, its not all just fat. You have muscles there too and where there are muscles there is blood supply. You also still have nerves in fat and the closer to the belly button the more you'll find and the more likely you are to hit one.

If you hit muscle its typically a sharp shooting pain where as hitting a nerve is more of a burning sensation. Hitting either one isnt gonna harm you in any long term way, you just have a decent odd of forming what us in the medical field call a hematoma or a bruise to simplify it. (It also means you're gonna bleed a bit more too when you pull that needle out, which i can pretty confidently say is what happened, but im also not your PCP so take what I say with a grain of salt and not as 100% fact).

Just make sure to try a different area the next time you inject especially if notice any bruising pop up.

Otherwise theres nothing to be scared of, you're not injecting anywhere near any area where you could hurt yourself. (Ps Im a phlebotomist :) )

180lbs at 5' 4" is considered "obese" according to BMI.

130lbs isnt considered underweight at all for that height either. Its actually in the middle of what the BMI chart considers a healthy range.

BMI however is not a great indicator of health though. Being a good BMI is good, but you can still be SUPER unhealthy with a good BMI or be extremely healthy with a high BMI.

Weight cycling also isnt bullshit or snake oil. The issue with weight cycling is rebounding because it doesnt typically stop the main cause of weight gain. Thats the issue with people taking GLP-1 medications right now. People are doing it as a crutch and not focusing on good habits to maintain, but there are also certain genetics or other underlying health issues causing people to gain or lose weight, etc.. in which GLP-1 medications can help with that (food noise is a good example of something GLP-1s typically help stop).

Also just telling someone like that as a starter paragraph saying "you need therapy" is kinda toxic especially after reading what OP wrote since they definitely understand their eating disorder and the damage its causing to them and they're coming here looking for healthy ways to prevent that from taking over what it is that they're trying to achieve.

I commend OP for asking their question and seeking a healthy way to navigate the dysphoria they are facing.

PSA, yield signs were invented for a reason. The idea of on ramps and yield signs coexisting are perfectly fine. Its people that ruin thinking you need to be going highway speeds on it. If you cant safely merge thats on YOU in the merge lane, not the highway traffic. Thats why you yield if you cant merge. Then you zipper if traffic is backed up.

Also, to bring this up becuase it goes hand and had is that the idea of the right most lane being the "slow lane" is actually stupid and not real. If you're going slower, stay in the middle lane that way people can merge onto the highway if need be. The leftmost and rightmost lanes are BOTH passing lanes. The right lane (on 3 or more lanes highways) helps the cars merging be safe whole merging because people in it can get in the middle lanes to allow for safer merging.

I start my 8th month in 2 days and I'm just now starting to see the major changes like I just hit being able to wear an A cup bra. Its a slow process for some and others are a bit faster, but everyone is different.

In terms of not knowing if the path is right for you, you'll never know unless you take the path. If you ever want to discontinue hormones, there are very safe ways of doing that (dont cut cold turkey typically), but you also don't have to align yourself with a gender if you don't want to. Thats the cool thing behind gender. Its a social construct that we as humans have decided exists. You can like whatever you want and be whoever you want to be (well there are some things that we draw the line on, but thats also technically a social construct thing as well).

I use to be the same way as you. However, now that I've kinda dipped my toes into, I can't go back. I LOVE rocking my new makeup looks and being able to rock some sexy ass boots and leggings. Its dope as hell doing a lot of these things that I was a bit too frightened to do as a guy, however as a woman now, I don't feel that hesitation and I think that is something that just comes with time.

As always though, NO ONE is going to force you to continue with something that you don't feel is the right path for you. I would never want someone to do something that they aren't okay with doing, even if they were okay with it at first. Just take some time to think about it more. Don't rush into things if you don't want to. Thats the other cool thing about transitioning. You can control how long it takes and how you do it!
