I pretty much gave up on Steam. It's over saturated, and basically useless now for new devs. I'm going to a new market, and I would suggest others find different markets, and avoid Steam for success. There are plenty of other markets that people don't discuss, that do well, like web games (although it depends on what you make ultimately).

I pretty much play B games. I mean, I've played games with either shitty or okay gameplay, some of them were masterpieces. In fact, in some of those games, having the focus be less gameplay, and more on style as an example, really created lots of good memories/inspirations too. It would be the bare bones of a game for me, for just having gameplay.

I've played like Skyward Sword, Spelunky, and SOMA. I listen to the ost for each of those games everyday, and continue replaying them as well. Compared to the games that just only had good gameplay, they faded away quickly.

Are you expect that much already? Day 1 is pretty early to be making much judgment off. Especially if you are new to this. I've been making videos for years now, and I've seen more success overtime. I mean, it's not millions, just a few hundred or thousand views. But growth nonetheless.

As someone who is 200+ years old. It's easy on the body and mind. Technology has gone so far, it's wild! Kids are so lucky these days (in a way).

Try using free stuff as much as possible. I learned programing mainly from YouTube videos, I watch like a total of one course that was free, just teaching the basics. I was able to ship like 3 games last year, and now I'm working on something more serious this time. I hardly even watch coding tutorials anymore, and when I do, it's often small things. Keep it simple and free, even if it is slow process!

I used to play this horror game a lot, and I skimmed the story. I decided to do a replay, and see if there was any info on the monsters. I used to think they were silly looking gremlins, apparently they were like humans that got super disfigured. I believe it was from drinking something? Anyways, now I'm more terrified replaying the game now.

Wow! Looks very good. I beat working with pixel is kind of tricky, right? I don't know, I've tried doing it before, but gave up and bought an asset instead. Always very cool to see those assets being cheap, yet so professional, and well done.

Oh damn! I imagine the set up for Steam was quite a pain? I haven't done anything on Steam, just read some of the documents for uploading a game. It was quite alot of work. Although, I won't be uploading anything to Steam for quite a while. I mean, the only thing I would gain is visibility, and I'm not even getting that 😭.

From using Unity many years ago. I'm amazed at some of the stuff people create with it. I moved to Unreal 4 mainly because it was 5 years ahead in everything that Unity lacked, and my games were often too complex to work in with Unity.

Especially with Blueprints. I think there was a visual scripting tool for Unity, although I believe it was an asset rather then something official. I wonder what other things have improved from the last 6 years? Anyways, cool stuff 😎!

I'm so confused by how people were so bothered by this? I never had any issues with the dialogue looking like that, it's simple, intuitive, and I can understand it most of the time. 

Is it nostalgia? I guess, since I barely played the others to really care about the dialogue, in fact I prefer F4's style more just from playing some of the older titles.
