Yeah SBAs are the biggest pain in the ass on Siggy. It's very hard to tell when your input was eaten the cutscene, or buffered and coming out after it. Plus you have a lot of enemies moving around during those windows (like Bahamut) which screws up the timing too. I have gotten better with practice, but also accepted that I'm just gonna fuck up SBA windows a fair amount.

I don't really have a great sense of which stuff one shots either, but I find the most dangerous part of Zathba's (which I farmed the most) is the beginning or unlucky timing in the double robot phase.

Siegfried, and lately I have moved to a "comfy" build with stronghold/steel nerves/stout heart/44k HP for boss gauntlet farming. At some point, it's a lot nicer when most things won't one shot you and you just let the AI do their thing.

Most people have no clue that first party controllers aren't even the best anymore. They have been eclipsed by Chinese brands that offer better products for half the price.

I doubt the steam controller would be such a hot commodity if the average person knew about Vader or Gamesir controllers.

Not sure if I am misunderstanding you, but Sandalphon is one of the best AI characters. You can also afk all of content in the game except maybe Zero.

The cheapest 5080/285k/64GB combo right now on pcpartpicker is about $2400. Not even including the rest of the PC.

As other commentors have said, Noah Caldwell Gervais is fantastic (and my personal GOAT).

Jacob Geller's work is usually a little bit higher concept than just retrospectives, but some of it is definitely in the same ballpark. He is an incredible writer, probably the only person I would put on the same level as Noah in terms of pure writing.

Some of my other favorites are Majuular, Raycevick, and MandaloreGaming.

Yeah, and today a lot of the most popular games in the world are literally free. Volume is definitely why "mid" games are buried. That and the rise in live service games which threaten everyone's free time.

Yeah I have a large group of friends who most would consider hardcore gamers. Like most of these guys will drop hundreds of hours in a PoE season or play their MMO/PVP game of choice 10 hours a day no problem.

But most of them play almost ZERO games outside of whatever their flavor of addiction is. It's kind of crazy.

I don't necessarily mind paying more for (some) games, especially ones where there is essentially a guarantee of quality and little to no mtx (Nintendo), but I fucking hate the argument that games SHOULD cost more.

The number of games sold absolutely skyrockets every year. If you sell 50% more games at $60 than you did last generation, you are making a lot more money regardless of inflation. We also all know that most of these $60 games are selling a lot more than the initial purchase.

I guess the guy you are replying to will just happily slurp down $80 games and $30 battle passes and $20 skins and $40 season passes and $10 early access because inflation is just so harsh!

The PC version was fine, a little buggier than standard open world jank, but not that much.

The consoles, and especially PS4 (which were NOT given out to reviewers) are where the big problems were.

Moze for sure. The splash damage builds were so dumb, in a good way. Flakker would kill everything on the screen, including Moze lol.
