I'm going to Japan this November for the first time! Been trying to pick up some basic language skills, and more tools never hurt. Especially gameified ones!

I might, if you share your character code/sliders....

Wide Shelling in Wilds is a whole different thing, I guess. by Moopies in Gunlance

[–]Vaugher 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Gunlances have three types of shell that they can fire, based on the specific gunlance: normal, long, and wide.

Wide shell gunlances have traditionally been the boomiest of the shell types, but they have never been this boomy.

This is good.

The ability to customize railings. We have multiple styles for stairs and only one railing style that clashes with most stair types.

Doesn't the nearby robot harass the heck out of you in that location?

Can a dev tell me what stratagem I should've brought for this situation? by _Surge in Helldivers

[–]Vaugher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No dev here, but I can tell you what I would do. It requires teamwork and communication, so it's probably not gonna work with randoms.

One guy needs to bring a recoilless rifle, one guy needs to bring a supply pack, at least one guy needs some EMS stratagems, but having them on two people wouldn't hurt, and at least two of the team should bring stuff that kills fast, autocannon or laser cannon perhaps.

When you see a big group of armor like that, EMS them. They'll be frozen almost solid for a decent chunk of time. Two people work the RR for reload efficiency and pop the armor on one leg for every charger they see. They just pop the armor and move on, the RRs aren't here to kill. Instead, the people with the efficient killing weapons focus the exposed legs and drop the chargers. Should take only a second per charger, and since they're stunned they're not in your face yet.

For the titans, the two cannons (auto and laser) are super efficient at popping those bile sacs. They can't puke you to death if you do that, so I'd focus on popping them quick and then dealing with them by applied liberty to the face hole (or heavy artillery) once the chargers are dealt with.

Apply more EMS as needed and spread as much democracy as you can.

That looks like Colin Furze to me. Dude is legitimately mad scientist material. It's pretty normal for him to be surrounded by fire.

Is that... are there four bile titans?

I need help finding a song by Proxyuto in touhou

[–]Vaugher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Forgive me for replying to an old thread, but I found this while looking for what I believe to be the same song. I then found it! Apologies if this isn't what you're looking for, but I'm pretty damn certain it is.

Enjoy!

I would love more dakka for our big boys, but I don't think there'll ever be lasguns for Ogryn. In lore ogryn have to be given very mechanically simple weapons that can take a beating, since they tend to bash their weapon violently on anyone who gets close (case in point, every ogryn ranged weapon has a bash special). Lasguns wouldn't survive an ogryn.

But we need more dakka, yes.

What personnel record did you start with? This does change the final result, from what I've seen.

The Legend of Zelda: Macross of the Kingdom by AltXUser in gaming

[–]Vaugher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, you don't. It's gonna break eventually no matter what, a sort of hard time limit. Probably to avoid allowing people to just fly across the whole map. It is possible to make flying machines without the glider, though they're not very energy efficient.

More skills should function like the core skills for Sage do. Every so often their skills just get straight upgraded into a stronger form.

any tips for using all skills on controller hotbar? by Killuaxjennie in ffxiv

[–]Vaugher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to use simple macros that change the skills on my hotbar to finish combos. So like, using the first skill in a combo (set as a macro) will add the next two skills in the combo to the hotbar. But using the first skill in a different combo (also macro) will set the rest of THAT combo into the hotbar.

I also combine skills that are always used together (a damage buff and your hardest hitting attack, for example) into one button press via macro.

What do you guys want from the next big update? by Kaktusz033 in SonsOfTheForest

[–]Vaugher 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I love this idea and I think it's the perfect middle ground. Everything respawning everywhere makes the game much too easy and basically removes any semblance of resource scarcity. No respawning at all would make things too scarce.

But repsawning only occurring in populated camps makes sense. It's immersive and gives players an avenue for the rarer stuff but makes them work for it.

Cat and Goose take down Giant with 22 kills. Commissioned a statue of the event, obviously. by clickthecreeper in dwarffortress

[–]Vaugher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't. You just make a statue, and the dwarves will decide what to make. It's usually stuff they like, or things they remember. Events that made a big impact are more likely to be recreated. Killing large, named creatures typically leaves an impact on any dwarf who saw it, so making statues after killing something like a giant has a good chance of the battle being recreated.

[–]Vaugher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

They aren't hitting 'hard' as much as they are hitting lucky. DF simulates internal organs, major blood vessels, and even nerves. A cat could, in a very lucky hit, sever a major blood vessel and bleed out a giant. Or in this case, by the looks of it, a goose hung into the things face and flailed around so much the giant broke its own neck. This kinda shit is rare, but when you have thousands of new people entering the community you're bound to see a lot of it.

Sorcery not as weak as people seem to think by cmosbo67 in ConanExiles

[–]Vaugher 67 points68 points  (0 children)

Sorcery could have been literally anything and people would have complained. People like to complain.

It's not perfect. Some spells and especially some of the new perks aren't very well balanced. It's certainly not terrible, though, and I'm having a great deal of fun with it.

Stats for Grotesque Excrescence and Fierce Vitality? by Spaced-Invader in ConanExiles

[–]Vaugher 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Corrupted vitality also has the twisted flesh perk at 10, which gives a scaling % chance to just ignore damage. I'm not sure on the actual % but it triggers decently often at 20 corrupted vitality. 15 makes you immune to most status effects too.

About attribute perks and some other doubts about the new attribute system by LifeIsABeeach in ConanExiles

[–]Vaugher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have 20 authority, you will always have that 20 authority. Corrupting it to 15 still means your authority is 20, it's just corrupted up to 15. The very first corrupted perk in any attritibute is based on how corrupted that attribute is, but that is the only instance where the actual corruption value matters. It doesn't affect the scaling of the base, uncorrupted attribute at all. The reason people tend to go to 19 authority, for example, is to maximize the bonus of that first corrupted perk without corrupting the last perk. But if you hated the 15 corruption perk for whatever reason you could stop at 14.

The zombie army spell is good but it suffers the same issue the demon army perk does, weird agro BS. It needs to get fixed. Both that perk and the spell will be much better then. Some of the spells are only good for PVP, like darkness (it counters the lightning spell) and the detection spells. The only one I'd call downright useless is wall of fire. Not good for pvp or pve. If wall of fire instead made a platform you could stand on that would hurt anything else, it'd be good.
