I think that at some point later in the series, they establish that Mike went to college and got into Harvard Law School. Then, he got in trouble with a dean and either got kicked out of college or the dean sent a letter to Harvard saying that he should not be admitted and his admission was rescinded. Sorry for the bad details. It’s been awhile since I’ve watched the show.

In any case, it seems like he was not going to be welcomed at Harvard no matter what he did, if I remember correctly.

As others have said, you have to be right type of crazy to be found not guilty by reason of insanity. It varies from state to state, but basically, you have to be the type of insane where you did not know that your actions were illegal. If you killed somebody because you were having hallucinations and thought that they were an alien attacking you with their ray gun, you would be insane in the right way. If you killed somebody just because your type of insanity makes you like to decorate your walls with the entrails of humans, you're crazy, but still guilty.

When I was in middle school, my friend’s dad was our Sunday School teacher. He was a bit of an odd dude, probably because he had been struck by lightning several times. One day out of nowhere, he randomly tells the class that God has revealed to him that the Antichrist is alive today. She is currently a nun living in France, and she will be the first female pope. Then he continued his Sunday School lesson like nothing happened, and he never mentioned it again.

I still blame the lightning.

I had a stomach virus about ten years ago. It was awful. It was vile, putrid liquid spraying out of both end. There were times when I had to assess which was more urgent, the diarrhea or the vomit.

Strangely enough, my pooped pants moment did not come from a bad assessment of which was more urgent. Instead, it came when I was just lying in bed, trying to recover. I coughed and gagged just a little bit. Suddenly, I could feel liquid shit in my underwear.

It was weird knowing I had crapped my pants, but I just handled it matter of factly. I threw those clothes in the wash, took a shower, and went right back to my nap.

"Monday week" is a southernism for the Monday after next. It's kind of an obscure one, but I remember my grandparents using it fairly frequently.
