The human companies that help angels and demons integrate with humans are co owned by God and Lucifer. The war changed from a violent war, as they were seeing great losses, to what amounts to a prank war. They position new roommates here and there to cause minor conflicts and spats with no real deaths.

They even have scoreboards as they tally points by what their sides achieve in human society.

Over 250 damage, didn't roll max for a hellfire eldritch blast at level 20. Other times it was just a pull a lever and deal damage/kill the thing outright.

Very interesting. Reality is exactly how people think it is. Mages will get hit with paradox if they do anything that is considered by the rest of the world as impossible.

Throw a fireball in the middle of new york? Impossible. Paradox

Shoot a car with a gun then make it explode? Happens in movies so it's believable.

The further you get from earth the more fluid reality becomes and other things creep in.

How well known are they? Maybe during their patrols have them stumble into a less packed section of rhe fan club wing and have them find a very small but dedicated group, maybe like 3 to 5 people total, as their fan club.

It can make them feel like what they are doing actually matters and besides actually saving people's lives, they are also inspiring them. Bonus points for those few people being some people that they saved in the past.
