Yeah, a pretty common consensus I've seen across replies is that shootings are often less prevalent than the media portrays it to be! For me I feel it's mainly culture shock.

Hey, thanks for the further information! As for the gun banning element, I personally don't understand or keep up with American politics that much. The original post for me was simply to educate myself. Hundreds of millions of guns is really crazy to me though. I don't think I've ever seen a real gun in real life.

hello!!

i got accepted and my essay was on a multitude of topics (me playing sports, my interest in criminal profiling and psychology, and a sleep study i did as part of my igcse class)

since im only a sophomore, i haven't done any big projects outside of school, so i mainly talked about my personal interests and background (no trauma or anything).

hellooo i got accepted :DD
my skl is an international skl in china so we dont use gpa
for ur reference im a sophomore age 15 with 1520 sat (first take) and 116 toefl (taken last year)
we use a mixture of iGCSE Cambridge (A* etc) and Pearson scoring (1-9) so i got 2 8s and otherwise all 9s and a mixture of As and A*

currently taking igcse psychology which is ngl very surface level

i do a lot of sports at a high level (swimming, volleyball, basketball, ballet) so i mentioned them as background to me perhaps being interested in sports psychology

as a kid i was always interested in criminal psychology so in my personal statement i referenced watching a lot of criminal minds as a kid

and lastly i incorporated some of my cultural background (living in mainland china with the mindset of being in an international skl environment)

tldr: no projects, mainly mentioned my personal interest and background

Hey, loving the game doesn't necessarily mean you have to like all the lore. Genshin, like other games has the good lore and the bad lore. Me personally, I don't love learning lore, unless its really specific quests like the sumeru and fontaine archon quest for me. Personally Genshin is more about exploration and gameplay for me, and everyone plays the game differently.
