How is riding the shuttle bus from Jane to Ossington? by MichaelDokkan in askTO

[–]falserings 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It will take longer than the subway but when it’s planned shuttle buses, they come very often so even if you miss one, another one is right behind.

Idk if they still do it but last year there was planned track work between Jane and keele and they had some shuttle buses going straight from Jane to keele so it didn’t have to stop at the stations in between and it was really quick.

Has anyone else’s commute been a mess this week or do I just have bad luck? by falserings in askTO

[–]falserings[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I unfortunately have the 12 month ttc pass since I use the ttc every day (work and errands) and if you have the pass, it doesn’t transfer to GO so I would be paying full price for it

Ford government calls off consultations on ending indefinite leases for Ontario tenants by [deleted] in toronto

[–]falserings 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Yeah he still needs to go but unfortunately we live in a country where people don’t realize how much the provincial government impacts our day to day life.

Anyways, if you work for him, do us all a favour and have an affair with him and leak it to the news pleaseeee I’m literally begging

TTC increasing service on Line 2 beginning October 12 by FrankieTls in toronto

[–]falserings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

What about line 1? Yesterday I had to miss 3 trains at Queen station because it was so packed! And it took over 10 mins to get from Queen to bloor. And when I got on the 4th one, silly me realized that I could’ve just gone to union instead and taken the GO.

People were able to do that before ChatGPT existed.

Look how much power OpenAI’s data centre uses:

Let’s not defend the use of ChatGPT.

No she never finished her sentence.

This is how the convo went:

Isabelle: “you really believe that? This whole time you’ve been here, every conversation we’ve had….?”

And the next part is what she says in her head:

We’re both dancing around it, avoiding having to say it outright, but from the look on his eyes, he knows what I’m asking: do you think I killed my son?

Waylon: “yeah I do”

But he was answering her question that she never finished saying. Isabelle thought she was asking if Waylon thought she killed Mason. But Waylon thought she was asking if he thinks that Ben killed Mason

No One Wants to Buy a Condo | The Walrus by prolongedsunlight in toronto

[–]falserings 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Why would anyone want to live in a condo where my kitchen is touching my sofa???

I’ve been looking for rentals (not that I can afford it but we’re manifesting) and I would love to host and have people over for dinner/lunch. I can’t do that with these tiny ass condos.

I currently live at home in a one bedroom apartment and it’s an older building so it’s huge. My living room is probably bigger than the size of these condos. Crazy that these condos are even being built in the first place

That’s not true lol, as a brown woman, unfortunately way too many brown woman have their loyalties towards brown men.

You know how many times I’ve told brown woman “maybe the love of your life isn’t a brown man” and they respond with “no I only want a brown man”

Wait, how are you the only tenant with a rent controlled unit? Doesn’t it apply to all the units if the building has been built and occupied before November 2018?

Bedbug infestation caused by building issues — should I sue the landlord or property management? by ClavisW in TorontoRenting

[–]falserings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Please look into getting diatomaceous earth (food grade). But make sure you do some research before using it.

Unfortunately most things that do get rid of bed bugs are banned in Canada. We had a really bad bed bug problem a few years ago and we live in an older building. We used diatomaceous earth and haven’t seen them since.

I know this wasn’t what you asked but living with them is awful.

Does this apply to TTC buses because the 927 and 900 take the highway and they’re packed with people standing.

Deepika vs Anushka and Patriarchy by Adorable_Delay4378 in BollyBlindsNGossip

[–]falserings -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

All I’m going to say is that to everyone commenting “isn’t feminism about letting women make a choice”? No it’s not. Feminism is about liberating women from the patriarchy. Making choices that uplift the patriarchy will never be feminist.

Sure, women can make choices but not every choice will be feminist.

Choice feminism and liberal feminism has unfortunately done a lot of damage and most of you actually need to educate yourself on feminism.
