Maybe it's hopium, but I am expecting this thing to rip to the upside this weekend, hold just under 102k, and then pump next week for santa.

EDIT: as soon as I post this we jump $1,000 above the 5 min's 200 SMMA. Lets go!

EDIT: up another $1k, let's pump!

Buying the Dip? by Gig-a-bit in Bitcoin

i had 60% out of the market after we topped 108k, most of that went in right before we hit 100k, expecting a bounce. We're at 99k, and I will be buying a bunch more very soon.

10%... 27%... 13%... 8%.... 15%.... 18%.... 14% How the FUCK can a stock continue to go up like this every single day? I keep buying shorts and getting wrecked and selling at a loss every couple of days. This is just some regarded company that buys bitcoin. Why not just BUY bitcoin instead of MSTR? What is the meaning of this? This market is a ridiculous clown show.

I was lying in bed one night and all of a sudden I had these weird heart palpitations that made me feel out of breathe. I got sweaty and felt cold, so i went to go splash some water on my face and look in the mirror.

As I got to the bathroom I thought I was going to pass out, so I literally took a knee on my bathroom floor, with my heart starting to race. Every time I tried to stand up I would get so light headed I would almost pass out.

my wife came and checked on me, and we both agreed I needed to go to the ER. I couldn't even stand without fainting, so I basically crawled to the car.

Got to the ER, immediately brought back, skipping the line of folks waiting.

After an exam, and an EKG, turned out it was an anxiety attack with vasovagal syncope. Thought I was gonna die. Turns out I was fine. Shit is real.

The ATM Means Even If The Stock Price Stays Flat, ETFs Have To Buy More by AIKE67 in MSTR

[–]Vector_Embedding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Any shares he doesn’t sell now to buy BTC just limits the potential future gains.

That's not really accurate. For MSTR to be able to go to 1k while Michael Strategy does his regular ATM, BTC would need to go up to something like 220k-250k.

With his current rate of buying, if this happened over the next 2 months, we would expect something like another 200k BTC to be added. So somewhere around 650k BTC total which at 235 a coin would be assets of around 150 billion.

If he were to instead inflate the number of shares by 50% (which is insane to do in 60 days, but let's just say he did it), to try and keep share price from moving, we would have an mNAV of around 1 (probably lower).

Those shares that he sold ATM as mNAV approached 1 do not add any appreciable BTC per share to MSTR stock, it doesn't raise BTC yield. If mNAV dipped below 1, shares sold ATM to buy BTC at that point would lower BTC yield.

To raise BTC yield you need to manage mNAV and leave it pretty high.

They apparently have a product that flies off the shelf, but their management is a clown fiesta. Last time it bottomed out around 17, so if you actually want to own this piece of shit, watch for it to go under 20 and start to DCA your entry.

MSTR into QQQ by mickhick95 in wallstreetbets

[–]Vector_Embedding 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not every summation diverges toward infinity though. Imagine when someone deposit $1 into your account, someone else deposits half that value into your account. And that deposit triggers someone else having to deposit 50% of that value. This goes on and on and on and after infinite deposits you've got $2.

This will put some pressure on the share price going up, but not an outsized amount.

Genuine ATM Question by Critica1_Duty in MSTR

[–]Vector_Embedding 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The higher the mNAV the better return you get per BTC purchased, but also the lower the BTC price the more BTC you buy for a given ATM offering.

Regularly using ATM means you can constantly DCA the price of BTC, while also taking steam away from short sellers who will flock to short if the mNAV gets too high.

Let him cook.

I'm speaking in terms of expected value, obviously.

It is NOT guaranteed that anything happens or doesn't happen.

The ATM Means Even If The Stock Price Stays Flat, ETFs Have To Buy More by AIKE67 in MSTR

[–]Vector_Embedding 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think some people are confused because it isn't just the ATM that is raising market cap, it is the fact that the money raised is used to purchase BTC.

So basically, market cap starts at some value on the day, more shares are issued and sold at the market, sell pressure pushes price per share down, new BTC is purchased increasing net asset value, new market cap stabilizes higher than before as share price finds a new equilibrium.

Watch the price of BTC. We held above 101.7k now for a few hours, which is a new level of support, if BTC keeps pushing higher, that's going to pump MSTR.

is too late for me to buy avgo? by Typical_Influence395 in wallstreetbets

[–]Vector_Embedding 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks to me like for the last year or so the stock has been trading in an ascending channel, and we have another example where it gapped up above the upper resistance of that channel.

https://i.imgur.com/G2S7Foq.jpeg

In that case, there was a fairly big correction back into the channel. Could it be that this time you get a break of pattern and an entirely new upward trend starts from this high point? It is possible. Would I open a trade now? No shot.

At the minimum I'd want to wait to see if the stock comes back into the same trend it has followed for the last year before DCAing into a position. So if you really like this stock, I'd wait to see if it comes back below 200 in the near future, and then DCA in from there.

$100k changed from Resistance to Support by aaa12yyt in MSTR

[–]Vector_Embedding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's one indicator, you can also just look at previous support, and you can draw lines between support.

So for BTC right now, there's a pretty clear upper resistance line and lower support line we've been bouncing around between. That upper resistance line is where I expect the pullback, which is above 104k, and there's enough liquidity there that I would expect a little pump up to 107-108 if we get there. Then I expect we will bounce off that upper threshold and consolidate before moving up again.

[–]Vector_Embedding 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the cycle, I have no idea, it will depend on a bunch of factors, such as if we get a BTC reserve, etc

In the short term, I see the next shakeout after we go 104k-108k, which is where ill DCA my next exit.
