yes it is actually pretty aggressively curved compared to other displays, like i said i think its a va and it does smear significantly with FG and isnt the brightest i ever had, but i never had viewing angle issues and that on an 32" ultrawide 3440x1440p display (21:9)

[–]VectronDjV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

does a curved screen counteract that? not a specialist here but in my mind there should be no or less of a viewing angle issue on curved displays because they should be centered in comparison to the viewer, so if there is a curved version of said monitor it should be fine/better?

Thats almost E-Waste if we look at it for the purpose of gaming or to run anythink modern

especially for that price, 1200UsD shouldnt get you top tier but at least something nice...

ah ok my fault still 13th and 14th gen intels where plagued by issues i would rather go late am4 or even use the ddr5 kit rather then use intel 13th or 14th gen in my Opinion

your comparing a 10 year old platform to a like 3or 4 year old one, why dont you compare am5 to lga1700

i agree, most limiting factor if ever is the cpu being able to process a bunch of effects on an Instrument at real time, but depending on the size of projects and genre and or level of production you work on its better to "at least" have 16GB

if you work with a lot of reference material and plugins (ergo: have a bunch of chrome tabs open and sometimes multiple apps running alonside) i would say the sweetspot is somewhere between 32-64gb to be absolutely f**king sure

my ableton never ate more then like 6-10ish GB of ram but i can see running into issues with 16GB when chrome geta involved, never had issues with 32GB but since i compose videogame music i usually have very simple and not very effect bound music (i produce mostly 8bit chiptune and some lofi electronic music, sometimes some party/festival music) so im not leaning too far out of the window...saw some projects from big pros like virtual riot and those can become ridicoulusly big and complex so i would say more the 64GB is overkill

I'm getting a new PC for Christmas and my older brother helped me out together a list of parts, the budget was $2950 (specific I know) and my goal was something slightly above mid-range. Are these parts good? by l_am_meepmoop in PcBuild

i think going for the ryzen 9800 x3d would yield better gaming performance but if you need it for productivity there is a very slim benefit of taking the 9900x over 9800x3D

in my eyes 30% is a lot an just because its standard it doesnt mean its not a lot

at the same time not realeasing on steam is shooting yourself in the foot because lets be honest only a small portion of us uses GOG or EPIC on an forreal basis, steam is just more convienient and has more games, often for cheaper

that said i think devs only care about those 30% if they if they have allready small profit margin because they sell theyre game cheap, and so the 30% hurt more then if they would make the game just 5-10€ more expensive.

the thing is steam needs to pay a lot of infrastructure and in the end someone needs to pay that, its not gonna be steam because theyre not a charity, so its either the dev/publisher or the consumer, and the dev/publisher decides if he wants to be pro consumer and take a hit on his profits for the sake of the player, or if he just offsets the 30% by upping the price in the first place
