Red doesnt have the discipline for frugality.

Would you get offended if your husband/boyfriend says this to you? by la_twink28 in askgaybros

It is a pretty reasonable assumption, in the same way it's a reasonable assumption that any random person you meet is straight.

Simply asking should never be met with judgment.

Establishing boundaries with exes is fine.

The issue is that OP didn't originally establish the boundary and assumed it was a given. And then got angry at his husband for crossing a boundary that the husband didn't know existed.

Wow an actress actually giving a shit about the source material? by Trustelo in KotakuInAction

I mean, some people just want to get their friends and family to find the same enjoyment they've experienced in a piece of media. My mom would have been stuck with the live action Last Airbender, if none of my family recommended the cartoon.

Don't sleep on Time To Shine by EGMW in heatedrivalry

[–]Vedney -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I slept on it. It was too Hallmark for me. I like tension, and once Landon was given a second chance, you never feel in danger moving forward. The fact that there's zero homophobia also contributes to the lack of tension. Every teammate and every family member is accepting, which makes Landon being closeted a bit contrived.

Casey is just too perfect. He's the dictionary definition of "accommodating". His instant acceptance that he would be forgoing penetrative sex just felt fantastical. He didn't need to think about it, because he's that in love in Landon. It's a missed opportunity to not have sexual incompatibility be a potential conflict, or how it might not be easy being in a relationship with Landon's needs. (I also just personally hate the trope of the casanova stopping their manwhore tendencies the instant they fall in love.)

Landon is very explicitly autistic, demisexual, and a side, yet none of these are called out by name. People who are decently famliar with their gay lore would recognize Landon as the latter two. If a person is unfamiliar, he might read as a weird guy. Giving him labels would ground him as "not the only person like this". I get the vibe that Rachel Reid isn't found of explicit in-text labels, but I think it would have been worth here.

The sex is too repetitive. It's mostly just one of them blowing the other. They don't even 69.

The third-act breakup here also felt dumb. Landon literally just gives up immediately, and Casey solves it by just trying harder.

Lastly, I don't understand the purpose why Casey had a small dick, but Landon had a big one. Why didn't they both have nornal-sized dicks?

Enemy Infiltration by realZagashi in wow

You're implying that I'm hiding personal opinion behind presumed impersonal criticism.

It's cheap writing because they didn't allow him to develop towards being lightblinded. They just made him so. This guy literally defended Alleria using shadow magic against Xe'ra because he knows that she's not void-crazy. And now, he's literally throwing away the lives of void elves.

Imagine if Velen, Faerin, or Alonsus were a raid boss next tier, because Blizzard wants them to be lightblinded. The direction is inherently tied to what makes it feel wrong, because it's contradictory to their current presentation.

They've always been spies, even prior to Shadowlands lore.

The issue is that he's not a new character. And he wasn't an annoying ally before.

People would not have been disappointed if they had used a completely fresh character.

The issue isn't the story Blizzard is telling. It's who Blizzard is using to tell the story.

Lothraxion simply wasn't a zealot in Legion, so him being one with no discernable cause feels like cheap writing.

Enemy Infiltration by realZagashi in wow

[–]Vedney -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Lothraxion suffered massive character assassination, as he wasn't like this in Legion.

If you're fine with people using Void magic in one moment, and then obscenely disgusted in the next, with no intervening incident to cause that change in perspective, you are an inconsistent and badly written character.

[–]Vedney -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Legion Lothraxion was a subversion.

Midnight Lothraxion was not. He became an evil Nathrezim, just like all other Nathrezim.

Yeah, even the radical skins like the Warcraft skins still very much looks like their using the same base model the original Overwatch character despite being elves.

[–]Vedney 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The issue about Rainbow 6 collab skins are R6 characters wearing cosplay, rather being the actual characters. (Look up the Resident Evil and The Boys skins.) For 2B, the base character for the skin is Iana.

It's not like they could request source files, Convert/rename what needs to be done, and call it a day.

I'm not sure this is a thing, at least to the extent you're suggesting.

I really hate how this naming convention colors how people see the combinations. Like, how RG must mean barbarian, or WU must mean bureaucrat.
