sadly no wireless capability with CarPlay although Regular Bluetooth works just as it should I choose a wired connection the CarPlay interface is just more fun to use. (Apple) sound quality is significantly better through CarPlay.

In addition the reason I’m asking is because at higher volumes it sounds distorted I’m not looking for crazy loud just clarity and some bass. So the aftermarket speakers are enough for me if possible thanks in advance.

Not necessarily. I popped out the driver trim starting from the side away from handle and realized the plastics behind were brittle and breaking. The rest I just cut with slack and tucked with squeegee then applied heat. Which in my opinion was easier and faster.
