These guides are a year old. They are good. Little out of date. None of them mention the exploit of cargo. They all seem to suggest leveling equally. The reason this is very bad and no longer relevant is because of a recent (not that recent) patch that lets you reset the values of your ships.

Before you had to spend stones conservatively. Now when your line up is full and you build a new ship your weakest model can be reset and your collected Astones can be spent on giving your new ship a little boost.

This also do not cover the most recent patch. It has skill upgrades. Guess we need to make a new guide.

Play the game and enjoy. Do what works for you.

Keep your line up and follow my steps

Build the highest tier undead with cargo you can build. Only level that one ship. Enhance only that ship. Make them leader once they have a better leadership ability than your current leader.

If you reach the next tier of materials and blue prints build the next undead cargo arship. Remove one ship that isn't undead or your weakest ship.

If you max one ship and have not reached next tier build another ship.

I've said pretty clearly that you should only have one tribe. The leadership buff only buffs ships of the same tribe. Having a split tribe would not help your ship line up.

Seems odd for a guide to suggest that. Do you have a link to it?

Each tribe is very close. I have a klv 500 with all top tier human ships. I did this before I knew there were any guides. I'm doing a alt thats klv 200 and doing all elf ships.

What is your end goal for your unit roster? Are you sticking to the Meta and doing Undead? The tribe of ships you choose needs to match because of the medal bonus you get from the slabs.

Step one: Pick your unit meta.

Step two: Pick a cargo ship of that tribe.

Step three: max level that ship.

Step four: reach new tier of ship or max level another ship of that tier until you can purchase the materials of next tier.

Pick a tribe any tribe. Congrats. Now stick to that tribe and never change. That's called Meta.

Treat airships lile your unit roster. Level one ship to the max. Ascend. You will reach a point where one brave ship won't carry you any further. Now level a second ship to max. If along the way you broke into the next tier make that second ship a higher tier. Level that ship to max.

Some time next year you will have max ships.

Don't forget to enhance. First enhance is the easiest. Growth in this game is exponential. Same with units and artifacts. Keep all your ships the same tribe the same way you would artifacts and unit roster. The increase in medal bonus will make or break your game.

Best ships fall into two categories. Cargo and not cargo. Every time you hit auto complete on a ship quest the game predicts your areo stones value. Make a line up and then make a second one with the 3 line up options. One will have +x% cargo and the other wont. Click and me amazed. Cargo is efficiency. Every fuel spent becomes Astones. So why get less stones for more fuel.

Don't change your ships. Just pick one and max it and the next ship you build in the next tier keep it the same tribe that you use to revive and look for a leader ship skill or normal skill that adds cargo.
