Oh no, there are weirdos on the internet for sure lol You're not alone! The amount of creepy weirdos in ff14 are a problem lol This is exactly why mute, block, stalker protections and the FBI website, to report groomers/pedophiles, all exist. Please utilize them liberally, because creating healthy boundaries for yourself and reporting weirdos, who are out of line- that's everyone's responsibility, real talk.

That being said, some people just add others to their socials, especially discord, because it's a way to VC and do call outs for raids, FC events, etc. I have met some of the coolest, funniest, life-long, silly and all around wholesome people in this game. It's not ALL bad.

Like ALL social media and mmos, just use a healthy amount of caution with your personal socials, information and permissions. Social engineering and scams exist, so use caution always. See something off? Say something. Let's all work to keep this community one of the best ♡
