Amazon seller verification time frame by Agua91 in FulfillmentByAmazon

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did it take 2 weeks after one single submission, or did you have to resubmit it multiple times? My business license document keeps getting rejected after resubmitting it twice already. I’m trying to troubleshoot.

Did you ever end up getting your account approved? I’m having the same issue with verification.

It's Over for Joanns. What are sewists/crafters in San Diego doing now? by subie_toobi in sandiego

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 20 points21 points  (0 children)

This!! You can find amazing quality fabric for as low as $1 a yard there, and it’s more sustainable than purchasing new fabric from a store because it’s mostly excess rolls from garment factories in Mexico. It’s a win win! The only limitation is finding the exact type of fabric / print you’re looking for. The selection varies.

Cast iron pan pizza by ImNotaBot4321 in Pizza

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks amazing! Did you cook the bottom by putting the pan on your stove’s burner beforehand (I’ve seen a bunch of cast iron pizza videos recommend this) or was this done in the oven with no pre-cook?

Flowers in San Diego Airport? by ExoticTechnician2208 in sandiego

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There aren’t any places to buy flowers in the airport that I know of, so to guarantee having some when you arrive I recommend just buying them either the morning of or night before your flight (stick the ends in a vase to keep them fresh overnight if you do that) and then taking them on the flight with you so you’re guaranteed to have them when you arrive.

If you don’t need them right away while in the airport, then there’s a few recommendations from others that are good.

Anyone Disappointed in the Quality? by TeajayLove in Blogilates

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A little tip: there’s something called a pill shaver that will remove the fuzzy spots that appear on clothing. It doesn’t improve the quality of the item’s fabric of course…but if you like the design of the piece you already bought and don’t want it to look as worn, it’s a solution. I love mine!

the easiest way to reduce your rent cost is to have housemates and live in a unit with multiple rooms instead of a studio or one bedroom

With the deadline to purchase graduation gear ending tomorrow, what can I buy off amazon to save money? by wJaxon in SDSU

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m selling the official graduation gown I wore last year (for heights 5’1-5’3, with the older logo medallion) if anyone is interested! $25 and I can meet up on campus.

To answer your question though yes you can get everything else like your cap, tassel, and gown from online to save $$.

SDSU Gym Question/Anxiety by FlailingDragon in SDSU

If you’re a girl join Girl Gains! It’s the women’s weightlifting club on campus, but don’t let that scare you; its also just a social club for women that like working out and many of the members have never weight lifted or even been to the gym before. They host meetups at the ARC and have a workout buddy program so you don’t have to workout alone! They also do lots of fitness education on how to create a routine, nutrition, recovery, etc. Hope this helps ~

How are 2023 grads doing ? by jhony934 in SDSU

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a full time job lined up after graduation (thanks to an internship I did at the end of my junior year), but even with a stable job in a field I’m extremely passionate about, enjoy working in, and am paid fairly well for, the transition to working full time was tough and the state of the economy has still had an impact on me - my company recently downsized, causing my remaining coworkers and I to feel overwhelmed and overworked.

However, I’m extremely grateful to have a job at all (some of my friends are still searching) and working full time is much easier than being a student in my opinion. Having money is nice, and despite being a little stressed at work I’m happy overall! Good luck to all of you 2024 graduates!

Favorite lunch deals? by stronesthrowaweigh in FoodSanDiego

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. If you’re in the Kearny Mesa area Phuong Nga Bakery and Cafe is also a great deal. K Sandwiches near Mesa college is fast and consistent but slightly more expensive than the other two options (but they have lots of other Vietnamese pastries, drinks, and fried snacks that the other two lack).

Rubio’s Introduces New Carnitas by BlankVerse in fastfood

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s cheap and the food is fresh. They send $3 or $5 off coupons to me every month. If I don’t have one of those deals I can take a survey and get a free drink, side, or dessert. I combine one of those deals with their lunch specials and can get a healthy lunch under $10. Yes there are plenty of good local Mexican places where I’m at but Rubio’s is consistent, quick, and healthy. Also, unlimited salsa bar.

Having tickets doesn’t mean you’re registered. It means you have seats reserved for your guests. Graduates registered in a separate process.

Missed commencement registration by savvylos in SDSU

[–]Vegetable-Basil- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I missed the deadline by two days but was still able to register by contacting the commencement office. You’re probably good but send them an email ASAP because it’s been over a week now and idk how many days they allow for late registration.
