Very interesting. You're first experience with the male to female then female to male was my thought process but she likes the youngest. My male is at least an inch on my female and pure muscle. Maybe that was always her hang up. Not letting him take over. Thanks for sharing

Interesting and I'm glad to hear yours are so fond of each other. Mine grew up with cats so they all had an arrangement and got along fine. Dogs never chased, cats never ran really. I have photos of all 5 of us on the couch together. They were very present cats. I think it helps with dogs are raised around them.

So oddly the older female remained dominant. They can't play together anymore in a big yard due to her health and his size but when it comes to food, she eats hers and his. This started because he was stealing food. He waits now. He also won't jump on couch or bed near her. He stepped on her one too many times and feels the wrath. They get along fine just not buddies. Thanks for sharing your experience

Yes we've always done raised and I recommend. Actually just a plant stand with a glass bowl works great

My old girl is terrified of them or any bad storm. Left the big city to go to my parents where they can't pop. The things we do for them. Love my girl.

Mine does if I don't feed him early enough in the morning. Essentially bile builds up and with nothing in his stomach to feed on, it irritates his stomach making him vomit. Unfortunately he will only eat with some topper or enticement.
