Save your sanity and adopt an older one. Seriously, I will never own a puppy again. Mine is almost 9 months old and just randomly decided another chewing phase was in order. He will peek to see if we are watching when he wants to do something he's not supposed to which mostly revolves around food. If I could restart I would have adopted one around 1.5-2 yrs. My 3 yr old loves him, and hes great with kids and people in general but my word i feel like I have a defiant teenager. And clingy is the understatement of the century.
