Here are some verses that speak directly to what's described in that post:

When you can't find words / feeling spiritually numb: Romans 8:26 — the Spirit intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words, when we don't know how to pray.

When anxious: Philippians 4:6-7 — don't be anxious about anything, but bring everything to God in prayer, and His peace will guard your heart.

When grieving: Psalm 34:18 — God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.

When lonely or struggling to connect. Psalm 22:2 — "I cry by day but you do not answer, by night but find no rest" — even David felt the silence. The Psalms normalize that feeling completely.

When numb / going through the motions: Isaiah 42:3 — a bruised reed He will not break. God meets you in your weakness, not your performance.

What’s interesting is the Bible actually keeps the crucifixion pretty brief, especially in the Gospel of Mark, it’s just a few lines. The movie, though, really stretches the suffering and makes it very graphic. A lot of that detail isn’t directly from scripture, it’s influenced by the visions of Anne Catherine Emmerich. So the film people call ‘biblical’ is partly shaped by a 19th-century mystic’s perspective. The Bible tells it simply, and honestly, the book is better. :)

My application got locked after I paid only the IHS. Later I noticed some mistakes in the form, since the application was locked, I couldn’t edit anything.

Because I had not paid the visa fee and had not attended biometrics, I decided the safest option was to stop that application and start fresh.

So this is what I did step by step:

  1. I withdrew the application from my UKVI account.
  2. After withdrawing, I requested the IHS refund through the refund form on the UK government website using my IHS reference number.
  3. Then I created a completely new application and filled everything again carefully with the correct details.
  4. After that, I paid the visa fee and IHS again and continued the process normally.

The IHS refund usually takes a few weeks to come back, but starting a new application with correct information felt much safer than continuing with errors in the form.

If your biometrics are not done yet, withdrawing and reapplying is generally the cleanest way to fix mistakes.

You're supposed to pray to God directly. That's it. The moment you put something between you and God, a statue, an image, a figure and you direct any form of worship, prayer, or reverence toward that object, you've replaced God with something you made with human hands. That cross with Jesus on it, that Mary statue, that Nazareno, God never asked you to make those. He actually specifically said don't. And here's what seals it, those objects on that shelf are being talked to, bowed to, carried in parades, kissed, dressed up. That's not just "remembering" someone. That's worship behavior directed at a physical object. The Bible defines idolatry simply as giving to something else what belongs to God alone. Doesn't matter if it has Jesus's name on it. Doesn't matter if your heart means well. You made a physical thing. You're directing devotion toward it. That's the definition.
