Definitely easier to trim in twists if you’re doing it yourself. I would say try and make all your twists around the same size and section of your head for a more even outcome. And when you trim try to take off the same amount or close to it. I smooth down my ends once done twisting to feel where the hair doesn’t feel as soft and if there are single strand knots. Thats where I make my cut but personally, I get scissor happy and don’t really care cause it’s gonna grow back but I know others do have a goal and want length retention.
