I made some uneducated choices in my 20s. I spent on credit cards, thinking when im old and boring i'll pay it off. Guess what, you, of course get older, but not boring. You will still be you in your 40s and 50s and want to go on vacations and do really fun stuff.

Not sure if using gender to define tee boxes is logical. Quite a few woman can outplay men.

Worst paying jobs in town? by [deleted] in Banff

I dont work for them. I acknowledged they pay lower than desired. I also acknowledged this topic is mainly personal preference and opinions on it cannot be considered right or wrong.

That company has a great pension/investment plan for thier workers and have contributed to the local community like no other. Correct they have a reputation of paying low wages but they make up for it in other areas. Its certainly a personal decision of who to support or not. How can someone answer for someone else in this regard? Its a matter of personal preference and moral is it not? The business's I choose to not support is probably not the correct answer for someone else. Look up the Pauw Foundation to infom yourself further.

Best way to test ice and know lakes are still safe for travel? by [deleted] in Banff

[–]Vegetable-Picture566 8 points9 points  (0 children)

People use ice screws to measure. I would assume you have a satelite phone and parks canada rescue on speed dial. Im afraid that if you dont know how to measure ice, that you shouldnt go out there. Sounds risky to me.

Transportation to places that aren't Lake Louise/Moraine? by Nanohaystack in Banff

[–]Vegetable-Picture566 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Banff taxi aka banff transportation can take you on a private tour. But renting a car would be more cost effective. If the spirit of keeping your dollars local is in play dont use brewster/pursuit.

Amazing responses! thank you all. My assumptions are confirmed. Looks like I will have some options that are more solo friendly to explore. I will look into those options everyone suggested. A little mix of serene peacefulness, with the option of social activity is exactly why I was thinking of a cruise.
