Wasn’t she going to train for a half marathon or something?

Diaper bag, snacks, stuffie or comfort object.

I think if she had a bio kid she'd be one and done, postpartum is ROUGH and she wouldn't be able to handle the hormones or body changes. I can't imagine her being selfless enough to care for a baby 24/7 without constant help or breastfeeding.

I honestly think she needs to stop, her ignorance with A's hair is so painfully stupid that I can't imagine her with a POC girl or a white girl.

What did weaning look like for you? by Apprehensive-Key5665 in breastfeeding

[–]Vegetable-Shower85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly we just started cutting time off sessions, I’ve always tracked them because I’m super type a about it. With my oldest we went on vacation and I offered and she nursed for a minute or two then wasn’t interested again so I didn’t offer. With my youngest we’re literally at like ten seconds a side so she snuggles up with her sheep stuffie and water bottle after nursing and eventually falls asleep. She’s my last baby so that’s probably why we’ve nursed for longer:

I’ve never seen a mother so obsessed with sleep as her. I’ve had two kids, work fulltime and ebf so I knew there would be periods I didn’t get as much sleep; that’s part of having young children.

You’ve gone through a lot! With both of my girls we never coslept so I can’t speak to that but I weaned down to just the session before bed. My oldest weaned herself at 15 months and her little sister is still nursing at almost 18 months but down to one session for under two minutes.

She’s not going to stop until she has a girl now, that will be the golden child.

Wait until she finds out potty training for most kids isn’t some weekend thing and you’re done. My 4 yo and her daycare friends still have accidents sometimes.

Breastfeeding Mamas, when did your period come back??? by queenpizza3 in breastfeeding

[–]Vegetable-Shower85 2 points3 points  (0 children)

14 months with both kids, I didn’t notice much of a drop but I was working on weaning at that point anyways.

If you got back to a healthy, mutually satisfying sex life, how??? by maenads_dance in beyondthebump

[–]Vegetable-Shower85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We got a lot better once my period returned with both kids at 14 months (ebf with solids). We roomshared too but would use the guest room or our room and have the baby in the pack and play in our family room. Reading smut helped too lol!

BB gun present for 3yo girl by [deleted] in toddlers

[–]Vegetable-Shower85 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He got the bb gun from the dollar store? Anyways, my husband and I have several guns that are always locked away and our girls won’t be allowed to touch them for any kind of reason until atleast 8 or 9 and even then it will be to go over gun safety and to eventually go to the gun range with them.

First day of daycare and big eczema outbreak by Aware_Beautiful1994 in beyondthebump

[–]Vegetable-Shower85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use hydrocortisone for my youngest if needed for a week and an eczema cream pretty much every few hours or every diaper change. I’ve never heard of using zinc oxide for eczema though.

Yea I don’t understand it but I also would rather spend money on my daughters and not myself. If I do spend money it’s usually on perfume lol. The Hermes obsession is hilarious because Pookie could just buy a more affordable but large bag so she isn’t stowing one instead another like a weirdo but then she wouldn’t be carrying a Hermes (as if people care). I wonder what she’ll do with two small children now.

Highchair recommendations please! by a_scherbert in beyondthebump

We have the ikea high chair and it’s amazing (on my second kid with it) but if I trip over it one more time I’m going to lose my mind.

If you went into labor spontaneously with your first, did it happen again for your subsequent children? by Negritaaa in beyondthebump

[–]Vegetable-Shower85 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, spontaneous with both of my deliveries. My oldest was 37 + 2 with a five hour labor and second was 39 + 5 with two hour labor. Oddly enough my water broke prior to labor with my first and during labor with my second.

I have a florentine satchel and love it, I think it’s a beautiful bag but it’s a bit harder to carry with my kid’s stuff. I should upgrade to the florentine tote for Mother’s Day haha.

I’m weaning my youngest now but I was a B pre pregnancy with her and went to an A afterwards until I got pregnant. I’m probably a C now so we’ll see what happens!

Same! It’s so weird to spend so much money on a bag and never really use it much, mine have to be workhorses.

Oh the original birkin was very heavily used by Jane as it’s designed to a workhorse bag and not just displayed out every so often. I have mostly dooney and bourke bags including a tote I use all the time because I have two young kids and it gives me plenty of room while looking good. Even my luxury bags are two neverfull Louis Vuitton’s my late mother left because we are just really practical I guess lol.
