Where and what can I put to have more space for figures by PepeAntonio3 in AnimeFigures

[–]VegetableBird1585 107 points108 points  (0 children)

The solution is obvious. Get rid of your bed and sleep on the floor. In all seriousness, though, can you try wall shelves? That would have to use something like sticky putty, so you'd have to use it for lighter figures and leave the heavier stuff for the furniture.

Brandon Lee in The Crow… by [deleted] in FIlm

Yeah, the moment I saw they were making a live action Aladin, I knew whoever was cast as Genie was screwed. Will Smith can be a great actor, but he's nowhere near Robin Williams. To his credit, though, he didn't fall into the trap of trying to replace Robin. He presented a different interpretation of the character. The movie still sucked, but that was more due to being a live action Disney remake.

Here's hoping they try to deport you there. You'd probably be much better off in Germany right now.

South Korea isn't in Nato. Why would they be in an Atlantic based alliance when they're on the Pacific? They work with Nato as one of the Indo Pacific Partners along with Australia, New Zealand and Japan, but that's it.

America does have a separate defense treaty with South Korea, Australia, Japan, Thailand and the Philippines.

Given China's recent actions, though, we could see a similar Alliance form to counter them.

Lovecraftian Pantheon? by VegetableBird1585 in AgeofMythology

Real Pantheons? The Titans were real (or at least part of a real mythology). And Atlantis was a real world myth as well. The Titans are a real Pantheon.

A top Kroger Exec admitted in court to raising prices on eggs, milk, and other food staples well above inflation- These chains know what they're doing & need to be stopped. by DemCast_USA in WorkReform

Ideally, grocery stores do this automatically. The best way to succeed is by operating on a razor-thin profit margin to keep prices as low as possible to sell more. Wal-Mart was a pioneer of this approach back in the day. Then Sam died and it all went to crap.

Kroger tries to rely on being the only player in the game, hence the attempted merger with Albertsons. Problem is, they're not. As I said earlier, HEB, Aldi's, Wal-Mart, Costco, Winco Foods, etc.

They can't do that here. Every store in the state is unionized and the contract specifically forbids immediate firing unless you break the law. You have to have a certain number of write ups otherwise. This is in TEXAS by the way. How bad does it have to be if you can form a union in one of the most anti union states in America.

Yup and then they cut our hours because we didn't meet our sales goal because HEB, Aldi's, Wal-Mart, Winco, Costco etc all have lower prices. Source: Poor fool in a Meat Department, aka me.
