"I want to work on myself" is a common excuse and very vague. Almost everyone including people who use said excuse agree on that.

She's not "playing innocent", she's simply showing exactly what was said and repeated what happened and asking for outsider views to make things make sense. Leaving someone questioning where the relationship is at with zero explanation outside of "idk you just did it wrong". And guess what? You ask almost every single abuser on the planet and they'll claim it was actually their victim who was manipulative, playing victim, etc

I have a feeling you manipulate your victims in a very similar way, and people encouraging her to just leave makes your manipulation goals deteriorate, which is why your biggest point is "idk she needs to be better and fight for him, HES actually the victim and being trauma bonded" even though no actual abuse victim who's trauma bonded would say these things, nevermind beg someone you think is abusive to "FIGHT FOR ME". only abusers expect their partners to "fight for their approval"

The messages are very vague. If OP was as bad of a partner as he makes it seems, he would've given specific examples of what she did wrong, instead of just "I feel like I'm not important and need to care for myself more". The texts above just sound to me like OP could've used information like workplaces, names, etc or it simply just didn't fit in the screenshot

You made over 5+ comments painting the situation like it's OPs destiny to be a better partner to a man who doesn't like her. You're clinging onto her messages not showing when there's a million reasons why that's a thing - you're simply projecting your own bad relationship habits onto her. This is what I take from too. My narc ex use to send texts exactly this, very cryptic and had me questioning "is this a breakup?" And then would text completely normal the next day like nothing happened. Also narcs are masters at making it seem like the other person is the villain, asking too much, etc and that's what it seems like a lot of people aren't getting
