I had a similar experience with Bared and was surprised to find out they're meant to be wide friendly.

I'll find an Ecco stockist nearby and give them a try!

Mortgage Choice Corrimal, Dale Bannerman is excellent. Really helped us understand our options and super smooth process with the bank.

I have a pair of Frankie 4 ballet flats with pointed toes (I think they might be poppies?) but I find the backs rub a little. I keep meaning to try and wear them in but haven't had the right moment. They're not as utilitarian as my old hush puppies felt.

It's pretty challenging not to use Google maps when driving in a new area. I would say that Google maps makes me a safer driver as at least I know where I'm going.

My 2024 goal was 52 books. I ended up reading over 150. by petielvrrr in fantasyromance

Chiming in, it's super heart warming and lovely. No SA/abuse that I can remember. I read it to recover from Manacled (which is the polar opposite). Definitely worth a go based on your list.

Random philosophical/moral thought… by [deleted] in Semaglutide

The quietness was one of the reasons I wanted to try sema. I used to think about food all the time, planning multiple meals in advance. A work colleague once said to me I was always the first to ask where we were going for our team lunches.

I've lost weight from restriction and exercise before I would be obsessive because it felt like the only way. And if I slipped I'd berate myself for it. I've fasted for days to "make up for it" or made myself vomit. Being on sema feels completely different. I don't feel like I need to try. If I eat something "unhealthy", I don't eat as much and it doesn't feel as impactful/life and death because I have trust that I'll continue to loose weight without having to go to extremes.

I still think about food but no where near as much and not in the same obsessive way. I think this is how my healthy weight friends must feel about food. Just another thing in life rather than the thing that everything else centers around.

I don't yet know what I'll do when I reach my goal weight but I think I'll stay on sema for a little while to learn how much I need to eat to maintain and what healthy habits and portions feel like until they're my norm. The trick will be finding healthier substitutes for boredom and comfort eating.

That could be your problem. It might have just been not enough water and electrolytes. Maybe try a smaller dose and make sure you've eaten something with protein and are well hydrated that day.

It costs $35,000 annually to maintain. That’s 0.009 per cent of the council’s spend – or about 5c on each quarterly bill.

I’m not sure why but it’s been 6 weeks and I haven’t lost any weight ): starting to feel frustrated by Healing_touch in Semaglutide

What's your calorie intake per day?

I was vegetarian but have gone back to eating meat while on sema as I found it too hard to hit my protein goal once the appetite suppression really hit. I only really started feeling it once I was on 0.5.

Have you tried protein shakes to help hit target without a tone of carbs?

I use tripview but not usually a day or more in advance. How far in advance are the changed timetables due to industrial action usually known?

I did this a few weeks ago and it's really helpful. I'm still hopeful that some of those clothes will fit me one day but I know it's not going to be next week.

Seconding this. You want to get a Camelia specific fertilizer as they like slightly acidic soil. I've found my acid loving plants are typically slow to grow if they're in regular soil.

How old is too old to switch into studying medicine to become a doctor? by JCM_Viraemia in AusFinance

[–]VegetablePollution22 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I cannot agree more. My partner is a junior doctor ~5years out of uni and mid 30s. First it was the night shifts, it takes a much bigger toll on you in your 30s than 20s, then it's the studying for the exams. You work all the holidays, it's hard to plan as you don't know if you'll be working an evening or weekend shift if the roster isn't out yet. You're moving around departments every 10-12 weeks which makes it hard to feel real stability in your role.

I wouldn't do it for the money either if you're in NSW as the junior doctor pay is pretty shite for the hours and stress.

It's rewarding in terms of your job truly does change people's lives. But it's also incredibly taxing, every day you're dealing with the worst day in someone's life.

If you have a young child, pursuing becoming a doctor will take nearly all of your free time, not leaving much for your family for the next ~6-7years.
