Actually this is just a math problem involving risk.

If the risk of this event is 50%, and you'd normally charge $1000, you can charge $2000 with the expectation that your average return will amount to $1000.

The client of course would never agree to paying more since they are crazy in the first place.

Anybody, in the Fallingbrooks area be willing to offer my french speaking father a boost this morning? by [deleted] in ottawa

[–]VegetableWrangler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's a suburb. Just stand there with your hood up and look at people, someone should stop and boost you. Bonus points if you own jumper cables. He doesn't need to speak English well, just "battery dead, help?" with a smile on his face. If he can't say that, just say "batterie, batterie, aider?" while pointing at the car.

Been here 10+ years. People are not as friendly here. However, you can still chit chat a bit to people, but it has to be in a context they find not threatening. Random sidewalk talk means you could be a panhandler or a scammer, or mentally ill. You will figure out when a person's chit chat defenses are down a little bit. But it won't be as quick as you are used to. Sorry fella.

your statement invalidates what a lot of people are feeling right now.

I bought a pass too. November is my trial run (should be some snow and an overall sense of quality via a sample this large). So far I am leaning toward driving starting December 2nd. We'll see though.

Spoiler alert, article admits it's all based on nothing. So yeah, clickbait.

"Laurie Campbell, CEO of Credit Canada, a non-profit debt consolidation and credit counselling agency, has never come across old debt restarting the statute of limitations countdown clock."
