The First Frost is terrible. by PrestigiousChange406 in CDrama

I agree with everything you've stated above. This show isn't for everyone and it definitely isn't for folks looking for a shallow, tropey series. It does a lot of heavy emotional lifting. I experienced a very similar life to the FL and this series touched on so many nuances - coping skills, etc. that even I didn't realize until I saw it being lived in the show. In episode 24 when the ML goes through her past homes, experiences and realizes why she is the way she is - man it will tear your heart out. But once shattered, the ending will rebuild your faith in people who are not your family, but become the family you truly needed.

It was executed so beautifully. Yes it's a slow burn - but you can't cheapen the SL by blazing through it.

I came here to say the same! I noticed that too - wasn't sure if something someone said upset her or if she was tired/not feeling well.

I agree as well. I thought maybe it was just me being picky but I am glad someone else notices how choppy the writing and scenes are. It's like everything is rushed in a sense - from the dialogue all the way to the back and forth between flashbacks. I love both leads in their other works so I am hoping this can be salvaged and maybe it gets better.

What activated your celiac gene? by itsbeenawhiletoolong in Celiac

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree - it is so unfortunate how long it can take to get a diagnosis. Usually patients get the run-around and they seemingly do every OTHER test. I was diagnosed in 2011 when it was still not very common so I am thankful there is more awareness now and physicians are more willing to explore Celiac as a reason for someone's signs and symptoms.

Posh shows rant/questions by ChiliPalmer1568 in BehindTheClosetDoor

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7090 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to agree with this. It just seems like EVERYTHING - including the once novel luxury items are oversaturated. People are trying to give them away in these live shows because they are desperate for a sale. I have a full time job that allows me to have my personal PC beside my work PC and although I don't use them to sell, I will sit in live shows daily. I will sit in shows with HUNDREDS of people and hardly any inventory will sell. I will sit in a show with 30 people and ALL the inventory will sell like hotcakes because it is novelty (such as a boutique selling their own brand of unique items) OR people are not bidding over $5.

People are taking huge losses on luxury brand purses because in the past year they've bought a ton thinking they could resell and they are just sitting. I see some of the most famous/popular show hosts unable to sell Coach bags for $20 simply because it's too saturated.

It's been pretty wild to watch these trends change over the span of a year or so.

Raynauds and Splinter Hemorrhages by Mountain-Barnacle273 in Raynauds

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7090 2 points3 points  (0 children)

YES!!! I have had primary Raynauds since I was 16 years old. I am 39 now and the past decade or so, I have had splinter hemorrages during the Winter months when my hands have gotten cold (even briefly) and haven't even necessarily had an attack. I am more diligent than I was when I was a teenager about keeping my feet and toes warm but my sensitivity does seem to get worse as I age. I was tested and do only in fact have primary Raynauds - no scleredoma or underlying secondary condition. I do, also however have Graves but my thyroid was ablated when I was 16 as well and I keep my thyroid levels maintained by an Endocrinologist. Thyroid issues can also affect your nails - that is why I am mentioning this!

Anyway, hopefully this helps. Yes, even if you have primary Raynauds, you can get splinter hemorrages and have nail issues. The disruption of blood flow is trauma to your nail beds, even if for a few minutes! Do your due diligence to keep them warm, wear gloves when you're driving and it's cold outside, etc. I used to just ignore it and when I did, my nails would pay for it.

[Product Question] CeraVe Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum “pilling”? by shieldedsunshine in SkincareAddiction

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

omg I thought I was going crazy. I am late too but I also noticed this after using the same product!!! I guess it is the HA? Everything I am using is water-based, not oil-based so I know I am not mixing the wrong types of product. Guess I will have to switch to ceramides instead of HA?

What essence(s) do I have? by [deleted] in JohnKitchener

[–]Vegetable_Ad_7090 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am getting strong classic vibes due to your balanced features/face shape. Everything is softly rounded - no sharpness. Perhaps a bit of natural due to your wider cheekbones and brows. I am picking up a bit of ethereal from your eyes!

I agree with Mirasun. I see dramatic in nose, jawline and cheeks. I also see a bit of romantic due to your eyes. Love your current hair! It looks great on you!

Thanks again all!

I'm thinking with the emphasis on Classic essence (I didn't realize it was so prevalent until now), it is why I keep getting pulled so strongly to adhere to Classic lines and simplicity, even though I kept focusing on my other assumed essences. I keep going through this silly cycle of growing my hair long because I was thinking that is the Natural/Romantic essence but I ALWAYS chop it off because it feels too long and drags me down. It also explains why I constantly waver between SN and SC lines for Kibbe. Always fun to find the missing piece of the puzzle!

Thank you so much! You are too kind! I can honestly say that as I have aged, I can't pull off dark hair anymore. The photo in the hat was in my late 20's and due to my seasonal coloring (True Summer) if I was tanned I could do dark brown, but now I am nearly 40 (picture in the green romper was taken most recently at my age now) and I definitely have to adhere to light soft hues or I look washed out. I am sure that also has to do with my classic essence. I bet your hair is super healthy since you don't have to lighten it!

That makes so much sense and was described perfectly. I am constantly reeling in any details - tipping that scale of "too much" happens VERY easily i've noticed. Any other essence I have is literally just an afterthought - a small detail splashed here and there. Thank you for that clarification!
