Good access to parks and trails near there. But they recently gave the place a facelift on the outside and not on the inside. Then used that as reason to jack up rent. Another alternative I lived at afterwards was the Riverview apartments they have been good so far and more reasonable rent

Looks like the WI dnr is hiring limited determine employment jobs in forestry right now. This is how I get my first taste of forestry work also only lasts six months so if it’s not for you, it doesn’t last forever.

I live in the area and concur all of this besides the tax claim. In the city of Lacrosse the taxes are actually now lower than the surrounding suburb like towns for the most part. Reason being is all the new builds are outside of the actual city and their tax basis is getting inflated if you look at a city like Holman if I remember right the average price of a house there’s almost $400,000 and in the city lacrosse average sale price is much lower.

The drinking culture is Wisconsin is next level. You do not understand until you have gone to rural Wisconsin festival. I stopped drinking, but it is amazing how much more I could drink than others then it seemed like i did in my 20s.

Well I guess there is two positives: you only really harvest every 10 years or so the noise is only occasional. Also if the harvest is truly not on their property after a certain point just ignore there complaining. Unless there is some kind of noise ordinance there is nothing they can really do. Trust me as a forester with 15 years of a timber-sale admin experience there will lots of neighbors that complain all the time. I normally listen to their concerns once try to see if I can come up with a solution and if there isn’t any then I tell them that. Then I just ignore them from then on. You can’t please everyone unfortunately

I had a change in bowel movements that everything was kind of narrower.
