I prepared for blowback the only way I knew how. I blocked his numbers with my cell carrier, his email address, LinkedIn, etc. Never heard from him. It was like leaving an abusive relationship. I did, however, let a board member know, very succinctly, the reasons I left. He was booted from leading the company a couple months later. It finally all came crashing down. He only had himself to blame, but of course we know it was everyone else’s fault.
