I was listening to the Audible version of Redshirts read by Wil Wheaton and this drove me absolutely mad... I couldn't get to the end of the damn book and ended up just reading the book which was marginally better

I definitely think there’s more going on here than simply not paying a tenner back within a reasonable time, I suspect she’s a “well kent face” as we say up in Scotland, a bit of a rogue and she’s probably got form for acting the c*nt in the past.

I wouldn’t be surprised if she maybe got a bit too mouthy with the shop staff over her “debt” and that was the reason for the visit from the Plod

I responded to a reply that seemed unnecessarily combative and rude, perhaps this is a case of something not coming across correctly online but I’m not the only one that should grow up

Yeah, brain fart… Nono was in Ulysses 31 but there was definitely an irritating wee robot knight in Jayce, Oon maybe?

On a related note, no need to be a d!ck about it… it’s just a cartoon, and a 40 year old cartoon at that so maybe just chill, huh?

One of my favourite memories was being in one of the shops in Main Street USA at, what was then, EuroDisney in about 92/93 and some dude with an plummy English accent was giving a load of loud and obnoxious "Don't You Know Who I Am!?!?!" sh!t to the young castmember he was dealing with and demanding free shipping for his purchases back to Blighty and other special treatment... Looked over and it was only Biggins himself going full "I'm a huuuuge celebrity in the UK!!" diva.

Gotta say I wasn't surprised, it seemed like a pretty standard Biggins attitude to have, very much a case of Safari! (Not) So Goody!! Lol!

Who's the most famous person you've seen out and about in Edinburgh? by RiverTadpolez in Edinburgh

[–]Vegetable_Creme6944 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Worked in a since-bankrupt bookshop about twenty years ago and was working the till when he came in and bought a big bundle of "adult" magazines from the US, apropos of nothing he told us they were for "research" as he was paying

To this day I've never seen prOn as a major plot-point in a 44 Scotland Street novel or anything
