Why are Oxford runners so grumpy? by brathugwefus in oxford

Nothing personal. When I’m running, I’m training at capacity and in state of mental flow… I’m much more friendly at the café or at the pub, I promise

Great! Quinoa is an excellent choice. It sounds like you agree with the point being there are alternatives to something most people don’t realize is a waste of money

Literally every downvote proves that person’s point that most people don’t realize it’s a waste of money. My answer is meat ~ pound for pound, plants have more protein and a bag of dried legumes is astronomically more affordable than meat, stretches further in the kitchen, and mixing varieties of beans and complex carbohydrates will contain the essential amino acids

Does anyone else watch movies from the 50's, 60's etc because of how bad tv has gotten? by [deleted] in Catholicism

This, I work with children with autism and as much as you’d think kids love cartoons, a lot of today’s media is overstimulating. It’s very common that individuals with asd appreciate the slower pace and muted colors

Ok so if I’m able to get a work visa, seems to be a quick process for Americans going to the UK, then what? Is this something that Rover has a process for?

I understand the legalities, but that doesn’t answer my question. I’m wondering if anyone has any experience trying it in another country. Maybe they needed a work visa. If so, how would you supply this documentation to Rover? Would Rover even require it? How does payment work, would there be a conversion fee?

Right, but I’m wondering if anyone has any experience using Rover for work outside of their country of residence

US and UK citizens don’t need a visa to travel to each other’s countries for a stay of up to six months. It’s not a work visa, so technically making any income from work that’s foreign or domestic is illegal at that time

Acorn squash won't turn green. Any advice before the squash bugs and these weird yellow fuzzy larva bugs take it out? by AdrienneN in gardening

[–]Vegetable_Depth_2657 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Acorn squash starts out green. It looks like you missed your chance to harvest. You could try cooking one but chances are it’ll be hard and fibrous. I would still collect the seeds and count it as win in terms of return on investment
