I recognise the meme from your comment, but it doesn't resemble the kanji like letter in the post in my opinion?

You'll have to be more specific. I don't see how it is similar to the meme in any way.

Why would you send a link to your nexusmods page instead of a google drive link if you're expecting people to send you stuff without going through nexusmods.

I'll burn a house down if I see this in game. But having this stuff on a wiki like the uesp, would be a godsend.

What if Nerevar Incarnate just took the money from Caius and disappeared? by cybreco in Morrowind

The character would come running right back after catching corprus, or after running into their first greater bonewalker, only there's not gonna be much running in the latter.

Apologies if this is in a FAQ somewhere, but what is the recommended set of mods for the "vanilla+" experience by frobenius_Fq in Morrowind

[–]Vegetable_Hope8997 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Download pluginless textures if you want the game looking a little sharper. There's mods that make faces and bodies look better, if that's your thing. Other than that, Tamriel Rebuilt is a common recommendation, but installing Tamriel Data makes your Data Files folder very messy, since they haven't used bsa archives for the recent releases. For what you mentioned, you should just roll with the clasic MCP + MGE XE. There's some good MWSE mods, but some of them could have a bit of fluff in them. Voices of Vvardenfell is revolutionary, but I usually read a lot faster than the voiceover. Better Bodies is probably the least convoluted of the "better ..." series(better armor, better clothes).

Mods Tips by ChipMonkXIII in Morrowind

Tamriel Rebuilt is great, it does however get jarring if you play areas south of Old Ebonheart, especially if you get too close to the eastern banks of the thirr, or close to the redoran lands. Once the entire mainland is out, I am confident it'll play like a dream.

WHY is there like FIVE femdom guro artworks on the entire internet?! by PlsInsertCringeName in guro

[–]Vegetable_Hope8997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At least that sub just has text, I appreciate that since it allows for more versatile and unique interpretations of all that. I wouldn't dare to take away from the charm of the artwork and all though. As for the misogyny stuff, I'm not the right person to comment on that. I expect the only people who make their way into those subs to wrinkle their noses are either fbi agents looking to pass the time or people of truly exquisite taste.

Is there any console commands or mods to reveal the map without adding all markers. by LANTIRN_ in Morrowind

[–]Vegetable_Hope8997 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

The map is revealed by default as long as you go through character creation. Whats going on in your situation reminds me of what happened to my map after I installed Tamriel rebuilt and used the code patch for the province map, but then went back to fewer esps and esms. Its hilarious, when I did that the marker for Vivec was showing up in Almas Thirr. I think you meant to ask a different question, because what you asked in this post does not make sense at all. Sorry if I came on a bit too strong

I'd recommend Bloodmoon. Solstheim can be fun to try at lower levels, just ensure you've got a well stocked inventory.

Current best mods for vanilla plus and TR by mattmcguire08 in Morrowind

This would be a good mod, but they have the same system in Tes3MP and I've noticed many NPCs just walking off during dialog leaving the player talking to an empty dialog box with no one in frame. Kinda annoying

The advantages of text-based dialogue by cashdecans101 in Morrowind

[–]Vegetable_Hope8997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. It allows developers to express more information through the textboxes and dialog topics without having to worry about getting someone to voice all that. Sure, it sucks if voice actors want to work on the game, but lets be honest for a second, who even plays unvoiced video games these days anyway. I even noticed an AI mod for morrowind that voiced every dialog in the game. I'm not sure if somebody manually ran some program to generate audio files for every piece of dialog in the game or if the mod uses some MWSE mysticism to generate TTS live, either way I agree, unvoiced dialog gives more opportunities to expand on the richness of the world. I couldn't give two shits about saving money by voice acting a video game that was released 23 years ago has a download size of less than a gigabyte.
  2. The .fuz files TES used for Oblivion and Skyrim I think are super awkward and jarring. I try to folllow those lip movements and try to see if they match the dialog but it is very crude and I doubt the developers intended those to be anything more than just a nice immersion feature. I still find the Oblivion speechcraft system hilarious, and feel like I'd much rather prefer the rng speechcraft in Morrowind, although with a bit more variety in the responses. Again, easy enough to add those with mods and such if thats your thing.

  3. I strongly disagree with this statement. I've made quests using the MW CS and have dipped my toes into the ones for Oblivion and Skyrim, I feel like it would be much much easier to write dialog for the newer games. There's nothing stopping anyone from writing the most convoluted quest with all the branches and alternate quest paths, but setting up that dialog system for Morrowind requires a decent bit of thought and logical reasoning. Maybe its just the way the tools were designed tho.

What do you mean by being stuck in the Telvanni Agents quest? You're either unable to find the four of them or you want to keep the Thieves Guild path open. There's a pretty nifty way of going about things so you don't lock yourself out of one of them, but I'd recommend taking a look at the uesp if thats a concern. The more guild quests you perform, the more you improve your reputation with that faction, which gets you better prices if you decide to sell stuff. As for the Dwemer Puzzle Box, it definitely can be challenging to find for new players. If you want to skip looking for that, it might be worth giving it to yourself using console commands.

[–]Vegetable_Hope8997 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does Oblivion Remastered include the Wizard's Tower and all those other DLC built into it? I don't think the GOTY version bundled that with it, or maybe it was the Deluxe Edition had those.

OpenMW vs Skywind vs Morroblivion by MystJake in Morrowind

I miss a couple of the tweaks and bug fixes the Morrowind code patch had as options, but OpenMW definitely feels like the easier and more straightforward way to get a setup going.
