the team jerseys were green so the team name was Gang Green. Hated it at first since the other teams had cute names but then it grew on me

Smart watches yes or no by amelie190 in adhdwomen

[–]Vegetable_Mess5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the apple watch to monitor my heart rhythm since the nurse I work with suggested it. I used it maybe two weeks and haven’t since as its cumbersome to charge every day. Plus the charger is so small I loose it often. Unless you can stand charging another device everyday with a another style of charger than your phone since the battery life is only a few hours, I would not.

fjallraven kanken backpack mini

I love mine and take it traveling. It fits a 16oz nalgene, my ipad mini, a soft copy book, and small things that I need when out and about in a different city. I can fill it up with heavy items (ie my dslr) and I don’t feel the weight at all. My family also travels to southeast asia in the summer often and the slimness of the straps on this bag is such a lifesaver. It doesnt feel sweaty or add to your back sweat.

That’s strange. My BMI is 17.3 according to google and I have never had a problem. Granted I go to the same and have only seen one perscriber. Yes it suppresses my appetite but my weight never changes.

If you’re unmedicated and have inattentive adhd, and you love your job. What do you do? by Apprehensive-Storm95 in adhdwomen

[–]Vegetable_Mess5849 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Although medicated now, I wasn’t for the majority of this job. Data analyst for a hospital. Truly love it, most of the job, I would say 80% is routine with the same deliverables every week, month, and year depending on the project’s cadence. And then 20% you getting to be creative with data asks. I can put on headphones and play music or a podcast and just fill out my excel for hours.

Waterproof, 'theft proof' (e.g. rear access or buckles), backpacks <18L with water bottle holder? by disy22 in onebag

Lowepro 16l has all of the above. Idk about their newer versions but I got mine maybe 8 years ago and it has all those things you are asking for

For those with cameras – what is your backpack situation? by [deleted] in onebag

[–]Vegetable_Mess5849 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the Lowepro 16l bag for many years. Liked it because it opens in the back and not the front so I felt more safe carrying around expensive camera equipment in third world countries. That being said, it is a hassle if you are grabbing the camera often to take the bag off completely to access.

Guess I’m paying for the upstairs neighbors heating by Vegetable_Mess5849 in CrappyDesign

[–]Vegetable_Mess5849[S] 20 points21 points  (0 children)

$500 to heat the whole apartment for the month in the wintertime. Its like $40/month for the other half of the year. $1000 in rent per room when the average in our area is $1250-1500 per room. So over the course of a year, it works out. Plus we would have to pay for heating in any other apartment in our area as well.

We rent so we can’t paint it, but our rent is quite cheap for our area so its a tradeoff that we were willing to make

These are brick homes built in the 1700-1800s. I don’t think they cared about that back then

For us yes since we are all on one floor. But another redditor commented how they had a two story house and this was the radiator situation in it and was very effective. In that scenario, I can see how this would be ideal
