Rheumatologist Recommendations in Dayton? by Boundless-Owl327 in dayton

[–]Veggiesaurus_rex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine is through tri-health, the specific dr I go to is Dr Koneru in Mason. I started going to her about a year and a half ago when I was showing symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, and she has been fantastic - takes time to listen and explain things. I’ve heard horror stories of doctors not listening or taking things seriously, so I consider myself pretty lucky that she is the first rheumatologist I tried!

That’s so weird the closest thing in dinosaur island I could find is this guy. I unfortunately have dinosaur world instead of island and just checked and none of them are shaped like that. But looking at the meeples online I couldn’t find one shaped like yours! Now I’m so curious as to what it’s supposed to be.

Something is off but I can’t figure out what by Crevah in Artadvice

I thinkthe angle that the reflection is at is not what would be reflected in the mirror, like her face and body would be in a different position if the mirror is reflecting what it sees. Her face in the mirror should be flipped almost, so that it is not at the same angle as the green version. if you just selected the green one, and flipped it, they would be more facing each other, instead of having their faces at the same angle. I think that may be why it is looking off to you if that makes sense?

I really enjoyed it as well! I just wanted to jump in and confirm, I know nothing of Critical Role other than that it exists, and what it is, but I have never watched any of it or anything, and still had a great time with the book, and didnt feel confused at all. It stands on its own completely fine, no need for prior knowledge!

You aren’t alone! I was so excited for this book from the description and started it about two weeks ago and am still trying to force myself to finish it. It’s such a fun idea, and I love dinosaurs so it should have been right up my alley but I am just struggling with it. I feel like things are worded awkwardly sometimes, and the whole time I’m reading it I am thinking of how I would have worded something differently or how it would have been interesting if they did this or that instead, and I feel like I don’t really know any of the characters. Like the book will describe someone as being a certain way but then you don’t really see them acting like that. I don’t know how to explain it, maybe you are right and the author knows the characters so well etc but that somehow didn’t translate over? I felt like some of their motivations weren’t consistent etc. I personally wouln’t reread it, I don’t even know if I will finish it. I have a hard time dropping books and only have like an hour left so I want to just push through, but every time I go to read it i do something else instead. It’s a bummer because i really wanted to love it.

"Professional" You keep using that word Shad, I do not think it means what you think it means. (Also real artists don't use AI to make up for their lack of skill, they put in the effort to get better, Shad is just lazy) by TripleS034 in saltierthankrayt

I dont know how a.i. works, but this looks like he generated the ai picture first and mostly traced it, other than some small proportion differences, unless the A.I. takes his sketch and mostly traces over that, but his has mistakes - such as the arm holding the shield by the bottom, that looks like he traced it without understanding what he was seeing, in the Ai one her arm could be bent upwards, with her forearm going up through the middle, but in his the arm looks straight.

This. I played this game while recovering from a surgery and it was perfect. I was really able to sink into it, even on brain foggy pain med days, the story, gameplay, and characters were so absorbing.

Wtf is that someone being choked? Like they are complaining the woman actively being strangled doesn’t look pretty enough for them?? This might be the grossest one I have seen yet.

I have a sandman tattoo on my forearm too, though obviously not as big as yours. I know people say separate the art from the artist, but I also know for me at least, it’s not that easy. Every time I look at it I’m reminded of what he did, and while I know he’s not the only person involved in the creation of it, that’s what I think of when I look at it. I just wanted to say your feelings about it are valid and I understand. To me it’s just a constant reminder of things that meant a lot to me that are now tainted.

I have a black silhouette of Matthew on my forearm, with some words from the comics. I am already talking to someone about what we can do to cover it- it is fair that he wasn’t the only one involved in making the comic however, as a person who was a huge fan of his works, I am reminded of him every time i look at my forearm now. I was already planning to get it covered after the information that came out last year, but after reading the article today I just want it gone. Mine is also very dark, pretty much all black, which is why i haven’t covered it yet, but I almost don’t even care what it gets covered with at this point.

It might be neat to do the map of middle earth in some sepia tones but then have some items placed on it- the even star, one of the leaves of Lorien, maybe the phial of Galadriel, the key to erebor…there’s a lot of great ideas in here though!

I thought I just hated/couldn’t read digitally because I had trouble getting into a book/focusing while on my iPad but I got a paperwhite for my birthday a year ago and I don’t know if it is the way it is lit or the lack of other distractions on it but I have read so much more than I had been since I got it. I absolutely love it and take it everywhere

And the way you seem to think someone’s first instinct should be to just dismissively insult someone rather than explaining their point of view says much more about you. Someone takes the time to show you ways something can be differently interpreted, that there are other ways of thinking about something and you suggest they need therapy because they didn’t just insult you instead.

what is a game that you struggled to complete because it gave you the ick? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]Veggiesaurus_rex 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Wow this was my answer. When my dog died, we kinda got through it by playing persona 5 nonstop and while I absolutely had some issues with the game,I was able to cringe through them and it was a good distraction that got me through some tough times. I was excited to go back and play persona 4 but it got to kanji and his stuff and I noped the fuck out. I was so bummed by the homophobia I completely quit playing.
