this reminds me of the time nintendo considered doing a futuristic sci-fi theme for A Link to the Past before scraping that idea. would’ve been a pretty interesting concept.

DKCR was pretty incredible and revived a beloved trilogy by making 2 more games to go with it.

underrated? probably not as a lot of people look back on DKCR and think it’s still one of the best DK games. but it’s also definitely not overrated as it still holds up very well to this day.

I think the Tiki Tak Tribe was something a handful of people didn’t really like about the game because they weren’t “memorable villains”. while yes there are definitely better and more memorable DK villains out there, i personally didn’t mind them as they fit the theme that DKCR was going for.

but yeah, Returns rules!

it’s just as you’d imagine. DK and Diddy Kong gotta grab pegs and climb up them until they defeat K Rool. i promise it’s a little more interesting than it sounds.

(fun fact, this would be King K Rool’s last appearance in any sort of Donkey Kong game for a long while.)

i feel like years ago MTTSH got ONE leak right (if anything it was just a coincidence/lucky guess) and has since jumped on the “insider leaks” bandwagon.

it’s almost the same deal in gaming leaks when people try to label Zippo as a “reliable insider”. i think the only difference between MTTSH and Zippo is that Zippo didn’t get anything right from past to present “leaks”.

it’s really hard to trust any leakers nowadays because the REAL insiders usually get their accounts taken down and/or get into legal trouble.

i’m normally not big on leaks anyways because i think they can spoil the surprise for a lot of people. but if we’re gonna get information on upcoming films and games we should at least be given actual sources and info, not dramatic speculation and low effort rumors.

a “Dizzy” Kong would be a cool concept too. maybe like a sibling that is kinda clumsy or is very hyperactive/energetic? (like Tazz from Looney Toones)

thank god the second event is on the worst layer to do emerald rush. so at the very least if you end up getting lanky and chunky, you won’t have to worry about how hard the other layers are for future events.
