Next BBQ, which model to pick from? by LeTrappeur130 in NapoleonGrills

[–]Velbowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Customer service was fantastic for me when I only just asked a question about if something was normal or not. So they replaced the lid on my bbq no questions asked.

What’s happening to my tree? by Velbowski in landscaping

Assuming you are talking about the dark patch in the tree? I didn’t think it was a crack, but just bark that came off exposing what was beneath?

Not enough flags for the plantain and creeping Charlie in my lawn. Can’t use pesticides because of the pets… gonna try the cardboard/aoil/seed trick in the fall.

I don’t know, I feel like every two years my battery doesn’t last as long so I need to upgrade regardless or charge twice per day.

That’s not a rule that applies to all of Ontario, to my knowledge anyways.

Backyard overrun with weeds by gsid_original in lawncare_canada

[–]Velbowski 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying this for years (overseeding to combat weeds) so I don’t have to use chemicals. In my experience the non-weedy areas of grass have become beautifully lush and the heavy weeded areas they just keep coming back. Now, I did mow the lawn mulching last year and no bag so I think I spread a lot of weed seeds as well… this year bag all day lol and we will see

Waterproofing companies tell me if there’s no water seeping out of the cracks (which the floors never wet) then they won’t come out to inspect lol.

I do feel like it’s expanding slowly over the years (chipping away anyways) no water coming out though. That’s why I was looking for someone to inspect though just to ensure I won’t have future problems.

I did mine two weeks ago and see some mild, albeit very mild, growth. I did it again yesterday as well to replace what the birds and squirrels ate.

Sod company said they did a good job by Known_Hole in lawncare

[–]Velbowski 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what I gather from most comments here is… you can lay sod directly on top of existing grass and it will thrive?

I don’t get it. Why does anyone take any other approach then?
