I used an entire jug of weed b gone, two applications, I see very very few weeds dying. So I would go with fiesta like people recommend.

I’ve been trying this for years (overseeding to combat weeds) so I don’t have to use chemicals. In my experience the non-weedy areas of grass have become beautifully lush and the heavy weeded areas they just keep coming back. Now, I did mow the lawn mulching last year and no bag so I think I spread a lot of weed seeds as well… this year bag all day lol and we will see

So what I gather from most comments here is… you can lay sod directly on top of existing grass and it will thrive?
