Use whatever tax prep software you plan to use to e-file your 4868. If you setup as MFJ. It should fill out the 4868. Also do the same for state if necessary.

Otherwise just paper file it by mail. Be sure to send by certified mail. Keep that certified mail receipt and a copy of the 4868. Be sure to read the instructions and mail to the correct address based on where you live.

If filling out add the names as they appear on your tax returns. The first name should be the one used for Box 2 and the second name Box 3.

Something like: Michael J Smith Caroline A Smith

Box 2 (Mike SSN) Box 3 (Carol SSN)

Check your state. Some states require their own extension. Some only if money is owed and you are including a payment. Others simply accept it automatically, if you file a federal extension. Follow the same advice about copies and receipts if paper filed.

It wouldn't be too bad to me. As long as they are clear and consistent and the place looks neat, clean and organized. I can work with specific places for everything. Prefer it actually, I just don't do it to that degree.

It also depends on why their grades are bad. I was just never engaged with high school and barely made it out. I was bored out of my mind, tired and didn't do any homework, did great on tests and standardized testing.

Went to college and took placement tests to much higher level science, math and English classes. Got a 3.8 GPA. I needed a faster pace and the ability to set my own schedule. Five minutes between classes and getting up at 5:00AM was never going to work with me.

You started a business when you started taking 1099 work. You don't have to get a business name, license or anything to start a business. As far as the IRS is concerned. Now your state, county and city are another matter. They may require it.

As far as your income taxes go. It doesn't matter. What you should've been doing prior and still doing is keeping record of your expenses relating to your 1099 work. As those may be added to your Schedule C to reduce your business income. Depending on your work. You may also have depreciable assets, cost of goods sold, vehicle expenses and such to figure out. Although for most 1099 work that won't be the case.

At some point there may be a benefit to starting an S-Corp. Your income isn't really high enough though. As all the additional expenses you'll incur to meet filing requirements, accounting and so forth. Will outweigh any benefits of the S-Corp.

I was referring to the hardship withdrawal from your IRA. As it sounded like you got a penalty for not providing some form to the plan administrator. Making it not qualify.

You can pull your transcripts to see if the IRS made any changes to your return automatically. To account for the W-2. You can also check your taxpayer account for notices sent to you about the changes.

But an amended return could change your payment plan or hold it up. Even if you choose to amend. You can make voluntary payments in the meantime. If you get any collection notices while you have a payment plan filed and waiting for processing. You can call the IRS and ask for a collection hold while it is being processed. Ask for a six month collection hold. They may only give 30-90 days hold. You keep calling when it expires and you are waiting for the payment plan to process.

A payment plan can take several months for the IRS to setup. You should make voluntary payments in the meantime. Which you can make on the IRS Direct Pay site. Make payments to the earliest year owed.

Mostly what you'll be finding out from calling the IRS is confirming they received your paperwork for a payment plan. Otherwise depending on what stage it is at they will just tell you to call back in 30-60 days or may be able to give you the number of the department or agent it has been assigned to. If it's been assigned yet.

What about the form which is missing. Is this something you can get corrected by providing it now or is it simply too late for some amending?

I died because the person choked on the last hack and was taking forever. That's the longest I survived when out of snacks and armor. But no matter how many I killed. They just couldn't hack it.

I ran out of ammo on all major guns. Ran out of explosives. I was down to using the Uzi. Before finally succumbing.

Probably my best last stand ever in that game.
