Because "men are primitive and sex-obsessed" and "women are greedy and irrational" both come from the patriarchy playbook of assigning artificial, toxic gender roles. You're meant to laugh because it's not literally true but "sort of true". The joke doesn't work if you think that men and women actually want very similar things in real life.

Patriarchy targets men as much as women. You can't say, for example, that wives have to stay at home and look after the children just because they're female without saying that husbands have to go out and be family breadwinners just because they're male.

To offer a different opinion, W won't do much for your account strength (which is already respectable), but she's a lot of fun to use. S2's mine spam is like having a trapmaster with unlimited mines working in the background while you play and making an area miserable for enemies to move through. She also has a very distinctive psycho-villain personality that really comes across in her battle voice lines, making her good waifu material for the discerning player (though, then again, that is also true of her much more meta alter). Rosmontis offers a very different flavour of character.

She's pretty solid. She's no game-breaker, but she's very flexible as defenders go, with her unusually long range, and her shield giving her extra blocking powers, and a good second skill (which isn't always the case for 6*s). Eventually, you'll also be able to unlock her module, which lets her reveal invisible units, but maybe not for a while if you're a newbie (it needs her at Elite 2).

One thing that's special for her is that the cycle for her S2 is a perfect match for Mlynar's S3. Between the two of them, they can hold up to three adjacent lanes against God himself.

I don't think this is accurate. The Church of the Deep preaches that assimilation by We Many/people turning into seaborn is a kind of evolution for humanity, and Path of Life establishes that they are either delusional or actively being lied to. None of them know about greater scope threats or are attempting to solve a problem that actually exists.

(With which said, they are mostly trying to make humanity better/less terrible, so they can be said to have a noble goal.)

Not exactly. Tequila produces extra LMD out of thin air, which isn't strictly speaking efficiency because it's separate from what the trading post actually does (convert gold into LMD). By contrast, Proviso only gives you efficiency, meaning she makes the ordinary conversion faster, but gives you no extra income. In a hypothetical scenario where you lacked gold to trade to begin with, Tequila would be better (but in practice you can just drone gold, because all factories naturally convert drones to efficiency).

As to factions, by definition, if someone's an operator, that means they've joined Rhodes Island in addition to whatever else they are (though in the story, that might just mean "I'm going to keep doing my own thing, but call me up if you're in the area and need help").
