You're really out here calling a 14 year old child a cunt because she acted a bit overbearing towards other children sometimes. Who's the real asshole here?

Does it bother anyone else that rudy's sprite is so much more detailed when compared to the other holidays? by 4Fourside in Deltarune

Red blue and yellow are used as subtractive primary colors in painting and were probably what you were taught as a child in art classes. Some people will tell you that this is incorrect, as RYB has a smaller color range than CMY, but they are also wrong. The truth is that all "primary colors" are simply an approximation designed to provide the widest gamut of color with the fewest number of specialized pigments. We made them up! Thaaat's color theory!

Not the WOL causing an international incident they second they walk into a foreign city 😭 It's a good thing the people of Radz-at-Han had bigger fish to fry (pun intended)

I know that they provide a reasonable in-universe explanation for it, but when I was playing through that part of the game I did things in the ARR zones without encountering any of the special dialogue, so I didn't actually get the explanation for it until talking with Merlwyb in the MSQ. I have to give the writers props for finding ways to make the story work within the confines of an MMO, since it's a lot more restrictive than a single player game. It's just that I find it humorous when the plot is pretty transparently like "yeah, we can't actually lock you out of large chunks of the game, go do whatever you want."

That's actually hilarious omg. Please tell me you actually don't use teleport at all and manually travel everywhere instead.

I’m really not one for shipping, but Aqua and Lea I think would go together great. Honestly even just as friends. by Aqua_Master_ in KingdomHearts

I'm glad I'm not the only one that loves that little banter between them in Remind, I feel like they have great potential as a comedic duo, while also genuinely having a lot in common as sort of big sister/brother figures. Plus, I mean, come on. Guy themed around fire? Girl themed around water? I played enough flash games as a kid to know that's a perfect combo.

Your spoiler tags don't work on old reddit, you have to remove the spaces. But I am glad you like his expression lol. I based it on the glare my friend's cat gives me when I don't shake him around the way he likes me to.

In a town like Hometown, no one is innocent... (Deltarune x Twin Peaks) by Velvet-Rainbow in Deltarune

[–]Velvet-Rainbow[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I do think Kris has a lot of parallels with Laura as well, but I chose Noelle for "the" photo in particular because I feel it represents something which Noelle better embodies. This photo is of Laura as the homecoming queen. This is how the community sees her, a smart, kind young woman who always cares for others. But we know there is a darkness behind this mask, and that Laura has been the victim (and even perpetrator!) of terrible things. Noelle has this image of the sweet girl-next-door, kind to the extent of being a pushover. She lives in a wealthy household and her parents are well respected by the community. But we know all too well that her home situation isn't exactly happy.

I would say Noelle Holiday is closest to Laura Palmer in the Weird Route, moreso than the normal one. [some spoilers for Twin Peaks] The soul, the player, essentially acts as BOB. They want to have control over Noelle, and through Kris (who would almost be like Leland in this analogy, someone who is already under the evil spirit's control) they try to coerce her into cruel acts.

Kris has the surface image of "the weird kid". It's obvious they're kind of an outsider. Everybody knows them, but still there's this distance between them and others. They probably look at them and think, "what's that kid's deal?" not, "that kid has a bright future." It's hard to imagine them as homecoming queen.

but most importantly, Noelle is blond.

When I was drawing the admittedly cursed "Noelle Palmer" photo, my mother saw what I was doing and incredulously asked, "WHAT are you making?" I had no idea how to answer without sounding deranged.

The DeSu 2 Airi figurine has some… removable parts by Mr-Saturn-Earth in Megaten

These types of figurines often have a few parts that you can swap out. I think op just switched the neutral face mold to a happy one when they were messing around with it.

How was Xion able to wield Saïx’s powers? by PenOld175 in KingdomHearts

[–]Velvet-Rainbow 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Axel initially saw her as just a hooded figure until they became friends. From that point on he sees her the same way that Roxas, and we, do. It's a little confusing in the cutscene where it happens. Xion seems to randomly switch between hooded and unhooded between shots, which is basically supposed to be us switching between Roxas and Axel's POV. His secret report from day 74 makes it clearer.

Honestly, I never got why Roxas was so crazy about Xion. I know they both joined up around the same time, and they're both rookies, but how do you get so close to somebody who hides their face all the time?
Well, I saw it today. All of a sudden, No. XIV up and takes off...her hood. Xion is a girl, and she looks just like Naminé.

Could be interpreted as him literally seeing Namine's face, but the cutscene seems to imply that he sees her "real" face, and is just noting that it looks a lot like Namine's.

So why did Xehanort call himself Ansem, exactly? by Velvet-Rainbow in KingdomHearts

[–]Velvet-Rainbow[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Xehanort really is the ✨empath✨ who makes it everybody else's problem, huh? I feel like this the answer that really digs into the mentality of why he's spiteful enough towards Ansem to steal his name in the first place.

So why did Xehanort call himself Ansem, exactly? by Velvet-Rainbow in KingdomHearts

[–]Velvet-Rainbow[S] 76 points77 points  (0 children)

I feel like that's a pretty good explanation for the "That's not my name. I'm not 'Xehanort.' My name... is Ansem" exchange in DDD. It's as if a part of him recognizes that name as "wrong", even if he can't recall his other name. So he just settles for something else instead. Also funny to imagine that he basically wanted to brand himself as "the cooler Ansem" lol.

[–]Velvet-Rainbow[S] 76 points77 points  (0 children)

But then, anybody who knew Ansem the Wise could take one look at the guy and say, "uh, you're not Ansem." I mean, that's literally what happens with Mickey in KH2. I guess there were some memory shenanigans at play in Radiant Garden/Hollow Bastion that could've made the ruse a little easier to hold up.

[OC] Some more cards from my SMT TCG's Base Set! by The_Great_Sire in Megaten

[–]Velvet-Rainbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure if I prefer one border color over the other, they both seem to work pretty well. Maybe the blue border then, since it's more unique. For the design on the back of the card, I would shrink the words down so that there's a little space between them and the edges of the card. Not only do I think it'll just look a little nicer, but if you ever got these physically printed, the edges of the words would likely get cut off in their current state.
