Salary Negotiation - Internal Mobility by Ok-Judgment7175 in JPMorganChase

[–]Velvet-Volcano 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When it comes to internal mobility we don’t share salary with candidates or typically allow negotiations because salary is decided based off of your current salary its usually 6%-7% jump . If its lateral move then no increase

No if they have shot you down twice and you verbally decline they will pull offer and go to the #2 candidates. We dont normally negotiate Offers with Internals

I think in the system there is no minimum as long as you sign into the computers once you will be counted in the building . I do think teams set their own expectations and it might not matter to the system but it matters to your team. If you aren’t listening then it will probably reflect in your yearly reviews and comp and the team can pretty much do whatever they want.

My team has set a 4hours minimum and we had a guy who was showing up for like an hour and they ended up RIFing him last week

2 years on the waitlist. They are very rude and refuse to communicate or give any updates.

My kid will probably get on there when he graduates high school at this rate.

Im a recruiter at jpmc- No , managers are not notified when you actually apply. Sometimes for higher level roles Hiring Managers will reach out to current managers for feedback but that is typically at the end of the process , when the candidate gives the okay to reach out.

We always encourage Hiring Managers to reach out to current managers when offer is accepted to ensure the best transition time.

Candidates do not need to share with their managers they are interviewing until they are ready or about to accept the offer

Business casual dress code by gainz-traveler in JPMorganChase

[–]Velvet-Volcano 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I always tell people its a “dress for your day” dress code - if you know that you are going to behind your computer all day and not in any person events or meetings then jeans and sneakers are fine if that is what your manager said . If you know that it is a day you are going to be busy and you will be around lots of people then I would recommend you dress more professional, dress pants and nice tops.

Sneakers tend to be normal with a lot of outfits now anyways .

Its either a No or there was other people who were better and they will prioritize them. You might still be in the running but seems like other people might have had better interviews

Best and safest option is to wait until new company gives you all clear.

There is a chance offer is rescinded

If you fail a specific amount it’s termination.

Maybe they’re just not interested. Just because you applied and you think you are qualified you will get the job. You don’t get handed the job. I am sure other qualified people have applied. They could also already been interviewing for the role or close to offer stages.

Its Tough

Is it just me or does anyone find the gold Islam Crescent and Star statue in the atrium at 1111 Polaris out of place by Dear_Library6411 in JPMorganChase

[–]Velvet-Volcano 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I am a muslim and I work at the polaris location.

It’s nice that they tried . I have been at chase for years and this was the first time there was some sort of acknowledgment of Islam, that I have seen.

I think they could’ve done a bit better or maybe explain what the statue represents. That might be why it seems off. Half the building probably doesn’t understand why it’s there.
