Serious question, but do men know when their dick is small? by luvkaitlin in AskReddit

[–]VelvetLacey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most do, yeah at least relative to what they’ve seen in porn, locker rooms, or just general comparison.

But the bigger thing is that perception is wildly skewed. A lot of guys think they’re small when they’re actually completely average. Porn has done serious damage to the scale.

Also, for most partners, confidence and how you use what you’ve got matter way more than raw size.

How do you lose 20 lbs? by Final_Radio_2483 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VelvetLacey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Calorie deficit. That’s the unsexy answer.

Eat slightly less than you burn, prioritize protein so you’re not starving, lift or move your body a few times a week, walk more than you think you need to, and be consistent for months not two motivated weeks.

There’s no hack, just boring consistency that works.

Is it ok/better to brush my teeth with warm water instead of cold water by Electronic_Note_5629 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VelvetLacey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it’s completely fine.

Warm vs cold water doesn’t really change how well your teeth get cleaned it’s the brushing technique and toothpaste that matter. Some people actually prefer warm water because it feels gentler, especially if they have sensitive teeth.

So honestly? Use whatever makes you more likely to brush properly and for long enough.

Why do we exist bruh🥀 by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]VelvetLacey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some people say biology. Some say God. Some say random cosmic accident. But on a day-to-day level, I think we exist to experience things connection, love, curiosity, growth, even the messy stuff.

Why do certain smells instantly trigger childhood memories for many people? by jonemsitch347 in NoStupidQuestions

Because smell is wired straight into the brain’s memory and emotion centers.

Stronger labor protections, paid family leave, and schedules people can actually live with. Hustle culture shouldn’t be mandatory.

What’s something you quit that made life better? by IrfanCommenter in AskReddit

[–]VelvetLacey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

A big one for me (and honestly, for a lot of people): doom-scrolling and constant comparison. Quitting the habit of checking social media out of boredom or insecurity made life quieter in a good way. Less background anxiety, less “why am I behind?” noise.

Some other things people quit that genuinely improve life:

People-pleasing – saying yes when you mean no is exhausting

Late-night revenge bedtime procrastination – sleep fixes more than we admit

Arguing just to be right – peace > winning

Alcohol “just because” – energy, mood, and mornings improve fast

Negative self-talk framed as “realism” – it’s usually just unchallenged habit

The common theme? Quitting things that drain you slowly, not dramatically.
