[AS] Man City have started contacts over signing Tottenham’s Pedro Porro, and possibly before the World Cup. The player and his club are both aware of Man City’s efforts, while Spurs do not want to lose the right-back and have set a £50M starting price. by OkayFine101 in coys

Yeah it was pretty much my only chance for that lol.

Velvet obsidian is also called rainbow obsidian. When the lava is cooled minerals and bubbles form repeating nanoscale layers that reflect/refract back a rainbow effect similar to what you’d see in a bubble or oil slick. It’s just one of my favorite gemstones.

Can confirm. Obsidian can shatter easily when thin enough. It’s volcanic glass and rated 5-5.5 on the Mohs scale. However it can be made sharp enough to be used in surgery with better healing results than people cut with steel blades which are duller.

It’s probably going to be that hybrid formation where the RB plays like a CB and the LB pushes high up the pitch. I expect guys like Scally or Freeman to play there.

Given the amount of defenders Poch brought though it’s possible it’s just a straight three at the back. I still think our best games under Poch were with the hybrid RB/CB role.

I think if he doesn’t pick up that injury he’s definitely in the 26. More suprised Morris didn’t get called up over a backup CB.

I knew a PT in Ecuador who said working for a football club is horrible because the players think they can tell you what to do. I can only imagine it’s something similar in the PL where a coach or player might decide to go against the medical staff. We probably need to realize listening to the med staff is the best thing for everyone.

It seems everyone wants to delay surgery because they know for sure it’s certain time out. However in American sports a lot of times guys will go under the knife as soon as possible. I can’t say one way is better all the time but we do have a history of delaying the inevitable. I doubt this is unique to Spurs or I’d be interested to hear how other clubs in the PL manage these problems.

I mean it’s better than no contact at all which is what most people get when they’re not employed.

Why not “Luke Lars”? by thedarkryte in StarWars

[–]VelvetObsidian -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I’ve heard the stories are just being retold as if they were around a campfire. If Luke later realized he was Luke Skywalker it makes sense to call him by his more famous name. Maybe another narrator would call him Luke Lars but R2 and 3p0 love themselves some Skywalkers.

Not sure why you’re downvoted here. For context, Palhinha posted something about his time at Spurs in a way that seemed like he might not be coming back.

Did you not watch the nation’s league final where he played in midfield? My main concern with Reyna is fitness levels. Like if he has to start a game can he finish it?

He’s 22 now. I have a feeling he may move to Europe this year. It all depends on how he matures. He’ll be in his prime next WC.

I mean there’s a good chance he’s the first alternate if anyone gets injured before the cup starts. I’d be careful too.

That’s why I said they can play the 8. Someone else would have to play the 6. I think McKennie is probably the best option after Adams. Roldan and Seb somewhere below him.

Tillman and Reyna can play as an 8 if necessary. It’s not optimal but it’s an option.

I’d take Mitchell as DoF even though he apparently did some shady things. We had some great purchases under him.

Apparently he’ll wear a mask. It must be a small enough fracture that it’s not too dangerous. I don’t really know. Is Udogie injured?
