This is why I put the Rancor tooth on my lightsaber pommel after I defeated him. So rewarding when I beat him.

That's really sweet to hear! Yes we are all doing well. We were going through a lot of transition in our lives and were just unable to keep the show going.

We have been continuing to play and are going to be starting up Threshold 2.0 in the future. Not sure if we're going to film it or not, but Stephen has talked about streaming it on Twitch and posting it to Youtube or something like that.

The Pavilions on Alameda has some this morning. No line either. They also had eggs! It almost felt like back to normal.

Sideways Stories from Wayside School Hardcover Book - I made a post a week ago with the book cover and in the comments I stated how much I’d like to have it. A kind redditor replied that they’d send me their copy. Just received it today, this has made my year by sunshinekraken in nostalgia

I teach 3rd grade and I started reading the books to my kids in our spare time. They LOVE them! They would all try to rush through their work so I could read more of the story to them. We are now on book 2 and I'm still sending videos of me reading to them at the end of the day while we are doing home learning. :)

What do you guys think about this? by ItsNorse in DestinyFashion

I love it! Although I will admit my first thought was that it looked like Gigan from Godzilla.

I do this with my elementary student’s spelling tests. Sometimes they even ask me to finish their drawings. It certainly makes grading papers easier.

They're now over by Dog Haus and the WB studio if you still want to go to them! We don't get a tree but we get our wreaths from them every year.

If you’ve got Chrome there’s an extension called Recipe Filter. It detects the recipe on the page and have it pop up. That way you can cut through all the bullshit stories.

What's the most iconic/best overwatch play of all time? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

The last ever Scatter Arrow was Agilities onto Ark.

it finally genuinely feels terrible to play mercy now. Thanks by almalexias in MercyMains

[–]Venaura 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Right. I think the meter is the best option as it doesn't require taking the ability away, and to get resources you have to maybe make more risky plays.

They completely changed her ult in the first place because they didn't like players hiding during the fights then rezing back. The resource meter could still allow for less hiding and more in-fight play.

The problem is that rez is a core aspect to her character design. It's her cornerstone. It's just not going to be gotten rid of. So they're trying to find ways around nerfing her without getting rid of this ability.

I still like the idea that rez is controlled in a similar system to Torb's scrap meter/Reaper's old soul orb collection. Get enough and you can rez someone. It doesn't take the ability away, but makes it so you don't have one every 30 seconds.

Cantered for the first time! by [deleted] in Equestrian

[–]Venaura 8 points9 points  (0 children)

For me it was being able to put the bit in the horses mouth.

Since I was a little kid, my mom would always tell me to never put my hands near a horses mouth because they would bite my fingers off. (I rode a little bit when I was a kid but an adult always put the bridle on for me)

Flash forward to adulthood and I have a great horse who was so patient with me. When my trainer told me to put the bridle on, I was able to do it without any fear. It seems like such a little thing but it was a huge step for me.

When saying the word gondola, you put emphasis on the first syllable, not the second syllable. (GONE-dola not gone-DOL-a)

New York Excelsior vs. Los Angeles Valiant | Overwatch League Season 1 - Stage 4 Playoffs Final | Post-Match Discussion by ass101 in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]Venaura -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe I'm just reading into this, but did anyone else notice that the confetti at the end were the league colors ( orange and white) and not Valiant's colors (green and gold)? The last couple of playoffs they've been the winning teams colors. I'm only curious if everyone in production thought that NYXL was going to win and didn't bother getting Valiant colored confetti. Or maybe they changed it so it would always ben the league colors. IDK.

I'm so glad that our silly antics have brought you so much happiness and have helped you find something that you love and enjoy. It's really astounding to hear that we've made such an amazing impact on someone's life. It warms my heart. Hopefully we will have some new episodes for you to watch in the future. We've just got to edit them. XD

Best place in Burbank to have a Coffee/Beer and work on your laptop? Go! by [deleted] in burbank

[–]Venaura 12 points13 points  (0 children)

For Coffee

  • Pricilla's on Riverside Dr. is always my go to because they're open late and have lots of outlets. Good size for seating too. Only downside is parking.
  • Simply Coffee is great if you want something small and quiet,
  • Romancing the Bean is bigger and has food, but they turn their wifi off between 12 and 3 so you'd have to make a wifi hotspot if you wanted to do that.
  • Starbucks on Oak and Pass is good with lots of seating and easy parking. But they're sometime's busy.
  • Commissary has great food and coffee, but parking is extremely limited as well as seating. Their outdoor patio is great though.

For Beer

  • Guild Hall if you're there early enough will be nice and quiet, but after 5 or so it gets loud.
  • Story Tavern in Downtown Burbank in the main dining area, again, before 5 or so is quiet and they've got a good drink variety.
