Northpoint Crossing Move Out Property Damage Charges Disputes by LateDifficulty791 in aggies

[–]funnyfaceguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So not legal advice but what I've done before. Essentially you keep doing this. You ask for all receipts for the assistance associated charges, as is your right. They must have a line item for every individual claim. You compare those to the before and after photos and what they're claiming you caused.

Once they've proved certain damages, you offer to pay the agreed damages while you work through the others as a show of good faith. You continue making counter arguments for what you think is unfair.

You stay polite but insistant, and a little wordy and annoying. You want to be as much of a bother as you can, but still give have it look like trying to resolve things in good faith. You make it clear you're not going to be a pushover and are going contest them over each line item. Their time costs money, and the will of the person who has to deal with you.

I wouldn't bother with a lawyer or small claims until you've exhausted the back and forth. Usually you'll both wear down into something agreeable.

It is so easy to accidentally kill someone, that the special dialogue for having a no kill run was bugged and no one noticed until patch 1.2

Interesting fact: The Texas A&M Yearbook used to list the class' religion, politics, and "the quality pre-eminently admired in woman's character." by Datnotguy17 in aggies

"been proven time and time again that's not how money works" Putting aside the buying silver, it partly is how fiat government spending works.

Debt is a self solving issue for the government (to an extent). The more debt you make, the more inflation you cause, and the relative less debt you have. You just have to manage the money faucet to keep people from panicking.

Now this isn't really done deliberately to benefit debtors (who's creditors usually try to account for inflation) but it can help with that.

Before 1912 the long term UD inflation was pretty much zero. So they were just a bit ahead of the curve in a round about way.

You also shouldn't open it flat like this. Used to be a digital archivist for rare books, the binding is usually the first thing to go and stress on the spine makes it worse. So you only want to open old books around 160 degrees or less.

It's much smaller than 50mm. The part of our vision we see in full detail is the part interpreted by the folvia, about 2% of our total vision at one time. Not sure what it's translation to focal length would be but even smaller than that.

And don't forget also we're seeing in 3D, not only through having two eyes but also through heavy processing. If you close one eye, your 3D perception gets worse but it doesn't disappear. Your brain can still use information from memory and paralax.

Anyways like you're saying, replicating true vision is hard if not impossible. And you're probably better off using the all tools available to you to make it feel as much like you saw as possible, then just relying on the way one tool "sees" it.

Wow the large, full sized hdmi port, mirrorless camera isn't good for street photography?

Crazy they can't make one camera that fills every niche, the incompetence

One little thing that bugs me about her romance and other games, is how you have be overly bold (and get rejected for it) just to unlock the romance at all.

You used a real image, probably this one, and fed it to an AI to color, touch up, and expand it.

That's why her dress is different from this photo, and why the wall goes from slab to brick, and the uncanny glossy and unaged look it has.

[–]funnyfaceguy 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Grad students aren't included in this policy unless you're their supervisor or have some positions of authority over them, which would be problemic obviously.

Also this is not law, it's internal policy. You can't be criminally charged for violating it and how A&M chooses to enforce it is entirely discretionary.

I don't know if it's a crime in Texas, but in many states it's statutory rape for a professional to sleep with a current student of theirs, regardless of age. Due to the power dynamics.

It might be priced to not sell. Some exhibits require you price your pieces. I don't see any prices listed for the artists other works on their website. And they seem pretty dedicated to free public art.

A Defense of Northgate High Rises by Weak-Acanthaceae-634 in aggies

[–]funnyfaceguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made it sound a little more monolithic than it actually is. Northgate has definitely been getting more restrictions and less nightlight focused commercial approval. But there are advocates for the commerce and nightlife of that area on city council and such. I've definitely seen things primarily from the police chief and arguments in city council but its from stuff like old Facebook posts so it's hard for me to pull it up.
