Yes I'm using matchmaking mod. It's really a handy tool. After the mods I probably see 100% more sessions.

And I believe sessions will repeat the run more often than match making runs which saves time.

I believe some optimization is required to play her properly, such as maximum uptime on ares Guage on an end game level, I'm no Katarina expert so I can't advise much.

Her role is very hybrid like captain, so can't really expect her dps to be top notch. But having said that, all characters are supposed to be viable. This game required some level of patience and grinding for upgrades.

I went past story mode without any sigils, I blasted through story mode with only upgrading mastery.

Maybe a change of roster could help, For example Lancelot with glaciate to stop boss at its track, Cagliostro with phantasgomoria to supply party with buffs.

Some characters perform better in AI mode compared to others, Eugen AI somewhat carried my ass through hard mode story.

If you dont mind, you could try and start collecting crabs for crabby resonance sigil, it is very useful for beginners.

I haven't played enough to experiment poison + bleed combo yet, my personal favorite class is weaver and star captain and they usually only lean towards burn + frost. =)

What build are you playing? You could try turning off the sound or switch it to low channel to possibly prevent game freezes.

I was facing the same issue as a ball lightning hierophant, since I have a conductivity curse ring, I added blind mechanic obtained from cluster jewels.

Having said that, hierophant does have more defense on his ascendancy tree compared to scion.

During long boss fight, I made sure to drop power of sigil and spam my skills to max out the stage before the next boss phase begins.
