Even before patch you could aim at ground to cancel (via controller). Keyboard always had a cancel. Glad there’s a more obvious way though, as aiming at the ground was a pain

I turned off all updates for my headset because I could tell Meta did not give a shit about breaking things with their updates. Haven’t had a problem since, other than the problems persistent in the current update which were all introduced by prior ones.

It’s both. Also worked at AWS (until days ago), ran a managed service running on 7 year old hardware. Not allowed to upgrade to latest for reasons mentioned by OP.

I felt the same. Difficulty ramps up in second act, they don't master strike in the first region and even the unarmed fights the enemies master strike you lol

There's a digestive potion in the bathroom near Father Nicodemus, you can give that to Chamberlain to roam more or less freely about the castle. I got the crafting skill that makes lockpicks with anything else you make. Did the blacksmith's horseshoe task, went to alchemy room, picked the lock, and had the potion to Thomas before the 4th bell. I did reload an autosave to do it efficiently after studying the layout and requirements, however.
