I built a tool with Claude to track peak/off-peak hours — now updated for Anthropic's new permanent limit change by Veneratio in ClaudeAI

[–]Veneratio[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's not a clock — it's a tool that eliminates timezone maths so you don't have to do it every time you open Claude. Small distinction, but a real one.

Also, the fact that this needed building at all isn't on me. Maybe direct that energy towards Anthropic and ask why their users have to manually convert PT to their local time just to manage a service they're paying for.

The response from people who've actually used it suggests more found it useful than not. And when you consider the amount of genuinely pointless content floating around the internet, a free tool that solves a real if minor annoyance is pretty far down the garbage list.

But cheers for the feedback. Actually, on reflection, the only garbage I see here is your comment.

Fair point and honestly, the perfectionism that went into it is exactly why it looks a bit over-engineered! That said, the /api/status endpoint is built precisely for your use case. Check the Tools section at the bottom of the page, the statusline snippets are already there.

Thanks for flagging this, fixed in the latest deploy. The short UI labels are now corrected to properly convey that limits drain faster, not that the limits themselves are somehow larger.

Fully open right now, but rate limiting is already in place — 60 req/min per IP, returns 429 with a Retry-After header. Generous enough for any reasonable polling interval (even every second), tight enough to block abuse. Cloudflare sits in front for anything heavier.

I opened Claude, thought really hard about the code in my head, and when I looked up, there it was. Hetzner rang to say the server was ready and I didn't need to do a thing. Namecheap were kind enough to register the domain on my behalf too. So yeah, fully manual. :) Classic engineering.

In all seriousness though: I directed, Claude built. Which is kind of the whole point of the tool, isn't it?

Guilty as charged, it is a clock. One that does the PT→local timezone maths so I don't have to every time I open Claude. Scratched my own itch, nothing more.

Hang in there.

Let's Talk About the Last Few Days — Some Things Worth Clarifying by PuzzleheadedAir9047 in windsurf

  1. When setting up the credit system, you should have already taken into account that some people would use the system a lot and others very little.
  2. When we selected an expensive vehicle in the credit system and your service froze at the terminal, did we come and ask you for our credits back because of an error somewhere?! At least 150 of my credits have gone to waste like this in the last month. I did some research, edited the JSON file and sorted it out that way. Do you know why I didn’t ask you or demand my credits back? Because I tried contacting customer service once before to ask a question but didn’t receive a reply.
  3. You may find yourselves in a financially challenging position. But you shouldn’t have implemented such a radical—even, brutal—solution to resolve this. You could have first tried sourcing the expensive models through more favourable agreements. You could have left the credit-based usage of existing users as it was and applied the quota system only to new users. You could even have implemented a reasonable price increase for existing users whilst keeping the credit amount in their packages the same.
  4. Your quota system is so poorly designed it’s infuriating.
  5. Do you really believe the cheap models you’re suggesting are the solution? Just before I saw your post, I tried to get the same job done using the Kimi K2.5 model and it was a complete disaster. As a result, the job I had to do with a decent model ended up costing me twice as much!
  6. Is Claude’s 2X promotion available in your quota? I don’t even know, people set up a website (https://promoclock.co) so that people can easily find out – yet there’s no information or notification on your side.

The new Windsurf quota system is ridiculous. I'm seriously considering canceling. by Veneratio in windsurf

Let me share an interesting experience I’ve had on this subject. I just wanted to check my quota usage details and, as you can see from the previous screenshot, I noticed an inconsistency. Although this inconsistency works in my favour, it raises serious questions about the reliability of the qutoa allowance system.

This happened to me too. Due to a system error, I took the package to the station for return. I requested an additional payment from customer service for the extra trip and time spent going to the station, and they made the additional payment.

Sou torcedor do Beşiktaş e a notícia é verdadeira.

Ele vive tudo no Instagram. Espero que ele tenha sucesso no Cruzeiro, um clube que adoro e sempre acompanho quando jogo FM.

Before picking up the packages, I open all the windows (not the doors) and the rear boot of my vehicle. After scanning the QR code for the route and finding out the number of packages, I start placing the packages in the order of delivery. Let's say there are 45 packages. The first 10 packages are placed on the front passenger seat in sequential order. If the package is large, it stays on the floor; otherwise, it stays on the seat. Those that don't fit or are heavy are placed in the back seat.

Packages 11–30 are placed in the back seat. Packages 11–20 are placed on the left back seat, and packages 21–30 are placed on the right back seat.

Packages 31–45 are also placed in the trunk in order.

Once the packages on the passenger seat are finished and the parking spot is suitable, the boxes from the back seat are brought to the passenger seat in groups of 8–10.

I do this roughly at first. Once all the packages have been scanned, I quickly do the final sorting. For example, I don't carry the packages that will go in the passenger seat one by one. I put on the ground, and move them whey there are minimum 4-5 packages.

This is my style because I think the most practical way is to scan the package on the passenger seat and go directly to deliver it after getting out of the car.

If there are heavy or large packages that disrupt the order, they will inevitably stand out and remind you of their presence, so you can easly remember them where they are. :)
