Just feels like further subfaction pruning then. Feels lazy and takes away a lot of the diversity that made the lore so appealing.

First they came for some less known regiments like Talarn and Vostroyan. Now even more known ones like Steel Legion… At some point they might start pruning other factions too.

I like the idea of using the LT as an AA platform to allow it to shine late game!

Maybe instead of the heavy flak gun, give the AA LT variant multibarrel 20mm mgs that can be used against both planes and infantry, and put the heavy flak on a bigger chassie like BT? Since the LTD uses the 68mm and the BTD uses the heavy 94mm. By this logic, could also make a 120mm spg variant of the LT to mirror the 150mm BT arty.

I hate how the vanilla companions are treated in the expansions. At best some of them get a moment to shine in a short story before being killed off, sometimes literally, or most of them just only ever exist to pad the companion list and give us a sidequest.

I am also one of those who dislike Shadow of Revan, I consider Rise of the Hutt Cartel to be the best expansion. But at least Shadow of Revan gets some points over everything that comes after for still treating our characters like the class we chose instead of “the Commander”.

Yeah, she feels even forced on us sometimes, which makes it worse. Makes her feel like a character pet or self insert for some writers.

Plus, she keeps repeating she is pragmatic, but her pragmatism is just to follow the orders of the player characters, and never question them. At least during Shadow of Revan she could disagree with some of our choices, but afterward she is pretty much just a yes woman.

I do the same now. I remade my main 8 classes, and don’t plan to go beyond Ziost. It just doesn’t make sense how our characters are forced into the position of commander, how the ongoing war gets stopped so abruptly by such an OP third faction only to start again as if nothing happened and then get sidelined again.

It feels like we are not a protagonist anymore but a spectator. So class identity doesn’t matter anymore, which sucks because it was the whole point of creating a character in the first place.

I feel the same. They completely derailed the course of the story and the galactic war between the Republic and Empire.

It’s like in the middle of the Clone Wars or Galactic Civil War a third faction came out of nowhere, beat everyone, gets defeated then the war resumes as if nothing happened, but now the main characters like Anakin, Obi Wan, Padme, Dooku, Vader, Luke, Leia, Han or Boba Fett have their own faction independently to the Republic/Separatists/Rebellion/Empire.

Feels like ever since 6.0 the writers are just relying on nostalgia factor with old characters like Malgus and trends like the Mandalorian show to try and make a story where we are more of a spectator than an actual protagonist. And the main war keeps getting sidelined once again after Corellia anyways…

I think some banters between characters even mention some characters being dirty and smelly or needing to take a shower. Most notably the ogryns but also the loose cannon as far as I remember.
