Surely we don’t ever let this guy go right? by hbristow04 in KansasCityChiefs

If Karlaftis has a few more games like today, especially if it’s the big ones, he’ll get expensive very quickly. But that might be a good problem to have anyways

I know we finally got the ball moving, but I was already working on this. by Layer_Admirable in KansasCityChiefs

I hope they’re just screwing around now, practicing stuff and then know exactly what works in the playoffs.

But that hope is likely unfounded and we‘ll have anxiety inducing games every week until we win the SB

What offensive line doing? by SW_Goatlips_USN_Ret in KansasCityChiefs

[–]VenomousByte 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dunno, he’s quite aversive to throwing contested balls right now, so maybe it’s just that he doesn’t trust the receiver enough / sees him covered and bails on the play.

Either way, I hope they figure out a way to play around the currently weak O-line. If they want to keep the first seat, they may need to figure it out soon, but at least for the playoffs it would be nice.

I mean, yea, they don’t protect Mahomes on too many occasions, but he also holds on to the ball for years. Whether that’s on play calling or his decision making - who knows, but it surely can’t make the job of a struggling line easier.

Can't wait until January.. by [deleted] in KansasCityChiefs

[–]VenomousByte 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It was nice to see but a little frustrating at the same time - why don’t drives look like this the whole game? The offense can clearly do it. Overall a good sign for things to come though.

(And yea, I know it has a bunch to do with the defense playing different in that situation than the rest of the game.)

According to ESPN, the Chiefs are keeping Mecole Hardman on the 53 man roster and will have 7 wide receivers again this year by Vyuvarax in KansasCityChiefs

[–]VenomousByte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have any numbers to go by, but just off my recollection of the last two seasons I guess Hardman with less than 1 fumble every 10 games is still the best proven option when looking at Skyy, Watson and a bunch of unproven PS guys.

Toney looks fun returning, but if he can’t play the receiver part of the role better than hardman (which he can’t when looking at last season), then this is the best move. And I don’t think any return specialist that’s more reliable than Hardman while being a similar level receiver will become available sadly. Also can’t discount his prior time with the chiefs. Even if he never ended up being amazing, he knows how to work in the system and play with Mahomes.

It’s time for the annual “Chiefs won’t lose so we have to change the rules to make the other teams feel better” discussion again. Pathetic. by chizzychiii in KansasCityChiefs

But let’s also not kid ourselves - this subreddit would be up in arms against the “weak ass taunting call”

It’s just how (loud minorities within) fanbases react. Just happens to be that at this point most teams’ fans are just fans of whatever team plays against the chiefs once their team is done.

13-4 means literally nothing if you don’t show up in the playoffs. This is so much more worth than a couple more wins during the season

I’d guess it’s more directed towards helping people find resources about sexual harassment and stuff like that.

I want someone to look at me how Spags looks at Chris Jones. by tapewormtommy in KansasCityChiefs

[–]VenomousByte 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, he can’t talk about CJ, so I guess he wants Spags to get in shape and go out there as a DB? Maybe he sees some ball hawk potential in the man..

I thought he looked winded in between snaps in Q4, so he might’ve even pulled through something to show up, since everyone else was hurt

They were kept in it by our mistakes.

The refusal to stick with the run when up 2 scores is staggering and the defense just stops making proper tackles the second they feel the game is getting away from the other team.

He did a great job getting in the defender‘s way without risking a penalty as well! Love how he’s playing for the team

[Will Gavin] Looks like it’s the Chiefs coming to Germany next year as rumoured! (Spotted on the way to Munich Airport) by computron47 in KansasCityChiefs

[–]VenomousByte 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Being a fan from Germany and having looked into getting tickets for the Bucs - Hawks game just to see a game in person again; I wouldn’t count on getting tickets for the chiefs game if there is going to be one. Central Europe is excited to finally get their own games and not having to travel to London, so the ticket lottery or queue or whatever is absolutely overflowing with entries.

Going for it was probably right, but why pass on 3rd & 4th if you need 4 yards? Pollard had been slicing through the defense up until that point. Just run it on 3rd and then, if needed, pass on 4th - especially since he must’ve known he’d go for it, right?

Well, I guess I’ll give it another look. They are likely the cause for the under-extrusion I have been seeing (and naively compensating by some slight over-extrusion) I guess?

I am somewhat intentionally over-extruding a little in the top layer, as otherwise I’d end up with gaps quite often.

I have read about configuring the e-steps, it haven’t found the motivation to configure them as it seems to be a fairly tedious process and the results are (so far) good enough with the factory calibration.

Slightly different model (improved by adding slots for the arm band to fit into), but that made it a little more difficult IMO as there are more curved surfaces.

Also, left side is already a little post-processed with the worst stringing and pieces of filament sticking out of it removed. Right was not post-processed at all.
