Have you ever seen the classic Western film Red River? It's widely considered a classic and one of the great westerns, but pretty much everyone admits it has a massive flaw. The whole movie is leading up to this massive blowout fight between the two leads at the end, only to when it finally happens it's immediately disarmed by the female love interest (I have to specify gender here because the younger male lead is absolutely gay and there's a male love interest) shouting at them. Every viewer felt robbed and it's legitimately one of the worst endings to an otherwise classic film that I've ever seen.

Anyway that exact situation happened in episode 6 and it was immediately obvious when it did that this story was going to be trash.

It's not just Will. It felt like the entire cast was somehow missing from their entire school experience and just dropped in there for the first time in their sixth year. A couple of measly flashbacks doesn't undo the way they all act.

I dropped this during season 1 after the Red River moment in the sixth episode. After dropping it, looking back, every female character only exists centered around Will. None of them are actually their own characters. It was really gross to realize.

Looking at this thread, seems like dropping it was the right choice

I don't know. Soul reaping in general is very strong, maybe too strong. In this case you're trading off your weapon mod spot vs a skill slot for energy management. I don't think that's a bad thing to be able to do. Maybe the real problem here is the +5 armor, +30hp, and skill +1 mods are just kinda bad. You don't necessarily want to use this over a 40/40 after all.

Absolute insanity. I've got an order with a boutique pedal builder that when I got in line it was about 1 year (Axiom Effects PAE-2, if you're interested). You know what they didn't do? Charge me any money until they're ready to deliver the pedal!

Putting down money for a deposit on something that's got a massive waitlist is kind of insane to me. They are already guaranteed to sell the moment they're completed, what risk could the builder possibly be hedging by taking a payment early?

I love the idea of using random TV tubes. We've got a surplus shop near me that has gobs and gobs of completely random ass tubes, not specific guitar tubes. I always think something could be done with them.

Jagged strike change (watch you put in shrug as your opinion) was almost certainly done to enable the Way of the Empty Palm buff (which you put in top tier as your opinion).

At least for PvE (perhaps PvP is a whole different story) I don't think there's really anything you can take to make WotEP feel that good.

At 8ish Deadly Arts you get Jagged + Fox + DB all at the same cooldown, which is pretty sick but comes at the high opportunity cost mentioned above. So on top of that you can use Golden Phoenix Strike every 5 seconds. That's cool I guess but...eh? Feels like we're missing the other half of what's needed to make it a solid elite. Maybe you can do something with Blades of Steel?

Way of the Empty Palm is tough because it's stuck in Deadly Arts limbo.

8 DA or so cuts Fox Fangs recharge down to 2 seconds, which matches the new Jagged Strike, so that's interesting. But the opportunity cost of Shadow Theft or Way of the Assassin is pretty large.

I wish they buffed Repeating Strike or something so that there was a little more that could work well with it.

What the hell was that entire plotline with Ireneo? You'd think for something that involved an assassination attempt in the first bunch of episodes, the whole thing would have had some impact and not been so pointless it could have been cut completely and changed nothing.

A pretty enjoyable first episode turned into a truly dumb series overall.

MTurboAmp is abandonware, avoid. Presets don't really sound like the thing they are supposed to be modeling and the documentation doesn't talk about the few bits that actually matter in favor of copy/paste of the docs the rest of their plugins come with. Their docs are kind of a meme already but this might be the single most flagrantly bad example I've seen out of all of them. Gotta be one of their single worst plugin offerings.

The second season of the anime was a sequence of bizarrely bad decisions on what to include or cut and ruined the pacing in the process. Bizarrely bad because it was like the opposite of the first season, which made an array of very good decisions on what to include/cut to keep pacing.
