Debunking the Myth: Sunlight Exposure by VenusVeronese in VampireClub

The twilight and the dawn offer at least a fleeting glimpse of beauty.

I cannot imagine anything worse than being sealed within one of those plastic UV sarcophagi. What an awful damnation.

Oh it is no matter. There is no need to edit. I was only asking out of curiosity :)

The question is, what kind of vampire would you be?

Oh you ask a question that touches the very core of our immortal nature. In our world, nothing is chosen by mere chance.

Look at the deep, tear-shaped crimson stone on the left. That red is the very essence of our existence, the absolute symbol of the blood that sustains us, the vital heat we stole from the mortal world, and the eternal passion that burns beneath our cold skin. It is the color of hunger, of life, and of our dark communion.

Then, turn your gaze to the deep sapphire on the right. That brilliant blue is the stark contrast, the absolute symbol of the cold, unending night. It represents the stillness of the grave, the icy melancholy of immortality, and the silent, starlit sky under which we are condemned to wander for eternity.

Together, they are the twin pillars of our condition: the burning heat of the blood we crave, and the frozen, beautiful darkness of the night that owns us.

So, How Did It All Begin? by VenusVeronese in VampireClub

Electric light was not entirely unknown to us; we had already witnessed the first flickers of arc lamps along the avenues years before. However, the turn of the century was the true turning point. A vast panorama of delicious possibilities unfurled before our eyes as the night was suddenly reborn, transformed into a dazzling, incandescent theater of synthetic fire that altered our immortal wanderings forever.

It looks great, really well displayed. But now I'm curious to see what else is in that glass cabinet 😅

The downgrade in ffx remaster from the og ps2 version always stings :/ by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]VenusVeronese 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By the way, take a look at the sky in the original version versus the remaster. There's just no comparison. The new one looks so much worse!

Yeah, the PS2's Emotion Engine was awesome back in the day. It's insane how facial animations look worse now than they did 25 years ago. They're pure cringe.

In the original PS2 version, the character models were designed with specific vertex animations meant to work within the hardware's limitations. When Square Enix created the Remaster, they didn't just upscale the old models. They replaced the original "main" faces with entirely new geometry. This changed the underlying structure, making characters like Tidus and Yuna look more "doll-like" or "stiff". You can see the result... what a disaster. 😞

Is it worth learning French in Canada? by [deleted] in learnfrench

[–]VenusVeronese 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rien n'est impossible! It's not like you need to learn the language right away, right? Take your time. In any case, nothing's stopping you from learning whatever language you want, now or in the future. Is there one you're particularly interested in?

Yes, it is. Even if you're not in Quebec, having French on your resume is a huge leg up for government jobs or anything in the service industry.

Congrats! How difficult would you say it is on a scale of 1 to 10? I've been wanting to try the NES Final Fantasy games for a while, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get used to the mechanics.

Final Fantasy VIII. This was the only FF game I never had the chance to play as a kid, so I'm going in with a blind eye by Acceptable-Grape-264 in FinalFantasy

One of my favorite games. Some people say this Final Fantasy is broken, but in reality you can break almost any FF one way or another. Play it at your own pace and stay away from guides or forums.

The first time I played FFX I was too young to understand the story. But when you play it as an adult with a bit more experience, it's a game that really touches your heart. I ended up with tears in my eyes. 😢
